Here's a good one for you all:

If a cop writes out a expiation notice for a offence committed by a person sitting in the back seat (passenger) yet writes on the expiation notice that he was the driver AND passenger... and then gets another warning in the mail saying he's now even the owner of the vehicle in question (yet he's the passenger of a mates car)... what can you do?

Also have to note, that the evidence against the passenger (basically the notes that the cop took down) is literally unreadable scribble. You can make out 2 words in the 8 lines he's written. Nothing else is readable. Even lawyers deem the notes/evidence unreadable.

Is it worth taking to court? Will they just correct it or is it classified as a major error?

I had thought that the driver is fined for the passenger not wearing the seat belt ... is that what is actually in question here? How can the passenger be fined? Its the driver's ultimate responsibility therefore he/she will be the one fined. Would you hand out a fine to a 10yo kid in the back seat?

Correct me if I'm wrong. :ermm:

Spotted "aaah31" in the City about 2pm today. :ermm: I was the biker cutting thru traffic ;)
i thought he basically told all of us to f**k off and that hes going back to perth?
Thats right!

Well, he's still in Adelaide

lol, I must have missed that whole episode......did something happen during the week I was away?

don't quote me on this but I think if the passenger is over 18 they are at least responsible and possibly the driver as well

However if the passenger is under 18, the driver is responsible.

Correct me if I'm wrong :ermm:

Hey guys, yes, this is another one of those "should I buy this" posts from me... I'm sorry but I'm very pedantic when it comes to big purchases like a car.

The car I'm looking at at the moment is here: http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...id=11EECA35A9B0

I have checked the oil and coolant, all fine. The guy has reciepts for the services, including the major 100,000km one, done at 94,000ks. Services have been done every 5000ks after that (with reciepts). All that was done at Sinergy.

The speedometer is a bit dodgy, it keeps flicking on and off, but he said that could be easily fixed. The bumper also has a few minor scratches on it, because it is quite low. Other than that, it's pretty clean.

If I do decide to get it, I will take it to a mechanic (Martin Donnon) to give it an inspection

Any comments? Price offer suggestions are also welcome, I'm aiming for $16.5k.

Cheers for your continued help :)

Yep, got defected for my wheels 'hanging out of the guards' but still being in track and legal diameter. That's all he done me for, not to low or loud or ANYTHING other than that. I see that as revenue raising at its finest.

I'll be calling Regency tomorrow morning and explaining the lot to them. The officer even complimented me on how stock my car was! But I still got regency

Whats my chances?

It's 16, Pete!

If you're even 16 and on your L's and get caught in a backseat with no seat belt, you lose 3 points! Regardless what license you have.

Spot on mate

I got done, passed out drunk in the back of my mates company van, sleeping amongst all the tools. Mate got pulled over, I got woken up by a police officer and booked for no seatbelt. Blah!

Martin is not a mechanic, he is a tuner.

    • The smart approach is to use the gearbox loom from the manual car. Makes it a lot easier - just plugs into the switches on the box and plugs into the main loom up near the fusebox. Then you only need to deal with bypassing the inhibit switch. The other approach requires you to use the wiring diagram to identify those wires by colour and location, perhaps even indulging in a little multimeter action to trace them end to end to make sure, and then.... you will have the answers you need. The R34 wiring diagram is available on-line (no, I do not have a link to it myself - I would have to do a search if I wasn't able to go to the copy I have at home).

    • @TurboTapin hey man thank you for all the info! I am about to order my cd00a today for a rb25 neo s15 build I am currently trying to get the ball rolling again on 😁 what is wrong with the Collin’s adapter? Is the bellhousing machining 15mm because that’s how thick the Collin’s adapter is or is that universal across any I decide to go with? Also do you recommend any adapter in particular? Thanks man 😃
    • Nice, looks good. Is the roof painted or wrapped? Welcome!
