Boozing on an empty stomach = get hammered quick = the fun begins earlier!

hrm

reminds me of when i went to moonta. was up to fix some computer issues at the local hospital so I figured I'd also spend a day fishing off the jetty, so I pitched a tent at the caravan park and went to do my work. by the time I'd finished, the only thing open was the bottleshop - no servos even... ended up buying half a dozen old crow premixed bourbon (8%) and proceeded to the jetty with my fishing rods...

after staggering back to the tent and passing out at some unknown time, I woke up in the morning and my intestines felt like i'd been drinking lava.... my mate who had joined me was in an equally bad state (old crows are rough as) so we packed up and headed down to the cafe next to the clock tower... ordered a big big feed of bacon, eggs and toast which really hit the spot

after getting in the car, my mate just couldnt hold on, and as we were turning out of the main street of moonta, he unwound the window and projectile vomited several metres - amazingly he didnt get any on the car... was a waste of a good breakfast tho

-D

bahahahahaa fail

hey SLED, dont take the new truck anywhere near the cold stuff. Forum member from Albury posted this on Thursday

200 Series Cruisers.

Today it dropped to -1 degrees and that was all a bit much for the 200 series cruisers at work. We have 4. All 4 of them would start then shut down. People thought diesel was too cold.

My TD42Ti Patrol and TDCi Focus started just fine as did the work Ford Rangers.

Then we rang the other work site. Same problem, and they refuel at a different place so it wasn't a bad batch of fuel.

Looks like they are scared of a little frost!!! Ha ha.

Rang Toyota. They had no idea. Said we might need Alpine blend! At -1!!! WTF!!! Local stations don't even supply Alpine!

I'm am happy with my old school TD42Ti!

im heaps good.

just ate 3 slices of shaved ham 4 days past its use by date.

thought it tasted a bit wrong.

meh, shot of bundy should fix it.

ahaah didnt u eat some out of date meat not long ago n spent the next day on the shitter??????

ahaahahah hope it happens again, so it teaches u a lesson.......... :P

Well, picking up another front bar to replace the 'hacked' front bar this morning. Its not too bad on the eyes ... but its a temp anyway for now. Tracy and I have a buyer for our house, so after settlement the 33 will get a decent kit. I'm happy for peeps to shot me pics of what they think looks noice ... keep in mind its a 4 door :P

We're thinking a suitable/subtle front bar (Aero type R or similar), type M skirts modded to fit, and pods for the rear.

How much diff is there between S1 and S2 kits?

Oh, and I got offered a swap with my current 19" Impuls for 18" Impuls, but have not heard back from person and can't recall who they were. Is it anyone here?

    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
