R34 Pop Up Diplay

I have a r34 with the pop up display on the dash. The car has there control panel for the display where the climate control is and the climate control is the next one down, the problem i have is that the cd player that is in the top part is not working properly and this is making me made. Is there any options for this pop up screen that can be interfaced with it or any other ideas even some form of engine telematry.

if you are cluey with electronics find the correct wires that run the screen and rework them. from there you have a VERY useable screen.

mm is the screen jap? like did it came with the car..

coz i have a in-dash unit too (blue) came with the car from japan, and it also didnt read any cds, and had very low radio frequencies,

i just took it to a car audio place down the rd and get it fix, hope this helps

Yes the screen is in jap. It is in the top of the dash where the triple gauge cluster goes and it has sat nav and t.v. and the cd goes in to the control unit that runs the screen. Might have to take it to a stero place and see what they say, the cd works some times but not always.

and they will tell you they can do nothing with it. may want to see japlink - tehy have a guy that seems to know his stuff. ( I haev yet to call him.)

So if i can get a head unit that can opperate a screen i may be able to get the screen to work from that and get rid of the controll panel that normaly operate s that.

Also what is the easy way to remove the double din head unit from the r34 (this is another car i have at the monement ) so i can put in a frequency expander.

pop out th ashtray and lower panels - remove screws, pop out AC ducts up top remove screws whole assy comes out. you will need two antenna adapters and hte band expander. I keep those here if you want them.
