if the baskie thing happens then will definitely be there. and making a bit of a show of it at baskie is a ripper idea. although there should be some cruising either before of after

id love to come.... if i still have the beast... i agree with whats been said above... it should be more central... last time there were only 1 or 2 cars from hobart that came to the east coast... (pretty poor effort guys  ) west coast sounds cool with me... (what about petrol that way?) mainly for the hobart ppl.. new norfolk to queenstown, there is not a lot of places to stop... anyway hope the dates get resolved... im free any weekend and if im not i will call in with something.... *cough* *cough* *splat* *cough*

-Cheers-

well im keen as to come..sundays are best for me to cos i work some saturdays =[

going like half way and back is better than a trip to all the way to hobart/launceston and back.

what date we going to roll with.? =D

What about a track day at Symmons? Good area to get together. Costs $99.00 if your not a member of a Motorsports Tasmania affiliated car club & $55.00 if you are. Thoughts????

A track day can be organised any time and it is one of things on the cards for next year :D

yeah, will possibly join the cruise if yas head to my neck of the woods, can get a couple of others if its more central too...

to who ever is organising the cruise, could they please give as much notice as possible coz if it ends up on a day i or anyone else will be working on then we'll need a bit of notice to get the day off, cheers

sam.

This weekend is too short notice, next weekend there is too much on as is the next weekend. Following that is xmas so i reckon the best thing to do is save the cruise for next year and we can get everyone along to it with plenty of notice state wide :worship:

hey guys i'm new to this but i've had my car for nearly 3 years and have just spent 9k on it. i think the drags are on next weekend which is the same weekend you want to cruise so y not meet there and either show and shine or drag? good idea?

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
