that really pisses me off. Now I get fking screwed on premiums because of other wankers dodgey claims. nasty.

Seems as though the insurers didn't do much of an investigation, with so much evidence available, it sure does piss you off.

I killed approx $20k at WSID in my mess and even had the tow truck driver spinning a story for my insurance claim, why bother though just take it on the chin and get on with life.

at last years powercruise there was an NSX that got really badly smashed up on the track and a week later we got a quote from a panel shop that is one of my customer for the same car (i sell honda spare parts) my assistant manager was doing the job and i got him to call the panel shop and ask if it was all through insurance and they said yes.. I went onto the powercruise website and found pics of the car against the wall and on the towtruck

Correct. However - I know that NSX owner (Angus) and his insurance company stated they WOULD cover him for the power cruise event, so it was a legal claim :ninja:

at least it was a legit claim. Was it him or his mate that was driving because i heard that it was his mate that was driving

His mate. The car has now been prepared and due to having to replace the guards etc, it's now widebody (bodykit was cheaper than factory panels)

yeah good man. like I said I've backed my car into the wall before at EC. not bad, but bad enough that it cost me money to fix! probably a few grand in the end. didn't even think twice about defrauding my insurance company. They have been there for me when one of my cars was stolen so why would I want to rip them off?

Thats what i heard was happening to it. Got any pics of it?

so say he's been driving 10years.

pays $1500k each year, he's paid the insurance company 15k never made a claim......

then, has an accident and cops in on the chin? screw the insurance company!

they are the bad guys (unless he makes a claim like every 2years)

If your a shit driver drive on the track or the road, your still gonna have an accident.

dont cry to this guy about insurance, cry to your insurance company they are the one reaping the profits while premiums still rise

This thing made a grown man shit his pants (with a huge grin of course), and made a young boy plead with me to 'Slow down, for the love of God, Please!"

Without the Cat, the sound the car made was like sex to a car enthusiasts ears, and with the Hi Flow Cat, it still was nice, just not as emotionally intense haha...

Anyways, its good to hear the Car will live to see another day...

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
