Comments: Looking to sell this engine currently in my R33 GTS-t as the car is hard to sell complete and I have new plans for it. It has basically the best of everything and no shortcuts have been taken in the build up of this engine. This engine would cost in excess of $18,000 to build. For $9,500 it will come fairly well complete to turn key eg.

-MSD ignition

-Microtech LTX12S

-Aftermarket Alloy Plenum,

-GCG/XTR T66/T04R turbo on stainless hi mount manifold w/ 48mm Turbosmart Pro Gate

-BDG External Oil Pump

-Trust Cams

-Aries pistons

-SCAT Roads etc etc for full list please see my car ad below.

interested in a trade for our setup? not interested in the ecu, turbo or weird plenum but will swap for the rest. Who built the engine?

What is your setup? Weird plenum? May look different but 440rwkw I think it works.. Kaos Racing built it, Dalton Automotive tune it. Maybe interested in your engine, but if it's fresh out of a drift car I won't want a thrashed out RB. PM or call if you wish to discuss further. Thanks

can i ask what motor your changing to, or what ur plans are?

Not sure exactly yet bro, I'm wanting to go twin turbo's but not sure what series engine. All depends if the complete car or the engine sells first, but definately twin's..

hey mate so this is full motor 4 sale?? very interested just wondering wat box u had in it diff and computer cheers

Yeah complete motor mate, will be pretty much turn key. Standard gearbox and diff in R33 GTS-t. Runs Microtech LTX12S ECU.

Does it come with a rb25 or rb26 sump?

Does it come with a wiring loom (if so, what type GTST/GTR)?

Will come with GTS-t loom, which has been altered over factory obviously as it runs Microtech. It has a RB25DET sump. Located in Ballarat Vic.

imagine what it would have made with something less agricultural, still keen on the rest of the setup though. i have our setup still running and will allow any test to be done on it or anyone to view it as i know it is perfect. interested in a straight swap (mine complete less intake manifold) for yours less intake manifold and turbo.

Sorry not interested, for a straight swap I think i'll keep my "agricultural" RB...

Tough package, the torque would be phenomenal! Out of sheer curiousity, when does it make boost?

Good luck with the sale mate!

Cheers,

Chris

Thanks Chris, depending on how much boost it's running alters when it comes on. The turbo on it isn't supposed to run below 18psi so anything under that it comes on around 4,000rpm, which is a bit laggy for general street work but I don't find it too bad at all, it's sorta worth the wait lol. Up the boost and the response becomes better and better.

    • Hi all, Long time since I've posted here. Looking for some advice on what I can remove to further identify the cause of my issues.  I can move the passenger seat forward and back but the knob used to adjust the seat angle is pretty much free spinning, there's very little resistance.  Removing the side cover I can see that the chain is intact but the shaft for the adjustment spins without the gear attached to it moving.  What's my next step for disassembly here? Is this a common fault? Just being a little cautious as I didn't want to start removing bolts for a spring to fly out or something equally as stupid.  Cheers
    • Those above shitboxes, mediocre and above usually have a turbo strapped to them, hence the slightly higher octane is required.
    • Hi all,   long time listener, first time caller   i was wondering if anyone can help me identify a transistor on the climate control unit board that decided to fry itself   I've circled it in the attached photo   any help would be appreciated
    • I mean, I got two VASS engineers to refuse to cert my own coilovers stating those very laws. Appendix B makes it pretty clear what it considers 'Variable Suspension' to be. In my lived experience they can't certify something that isn't actually in the list as something that requires certification. In the VASS engineering checklist they have to complete (LS3/NCOP11) and sign on there is nothing there. All the references inside NCOP11 state that if it's variable by the driver that height needs to maintain 100mm while the car is in motion. It states the car is lowered lowering blocks and other types of things are acceptable. Dialling out a shock is about as 'user adjustable' as changing any other suspension component lol. I wanted to have it signed off to dissuade HWP and RWC testers to state the suspension is legal to avoid having this discussion with them. The real problem is that Police and RWC/Pink/Blue slip people will say it needs engineering, and the engineers will state it doesn't need engineering. It is hugely irritating when aforementioned people get all "i know the rules mate feck off" when they don't, and the actual engineers are pleasant as all hell and do know the rules. Cars failing RWC for things that aren't listed in the RWC requirements is another thing here entirely!
    • I don't. I mean, mine's not a GTR, but it is a 32 with a lot of GTR stuff on it. But regardless, I typically buy from local suppliers. Getting stuff from Japan is seldom worth the pain. Buying from RHDJapan usually ends up in the final total of your basket being about double what you thought it would be, after all the bullshit fees and such are added on.
