at the end of the day, if there's an idiot willing to pay that amount of money then there'll be an idiot asking that amount for them.

it works conversely too. The australian import driving public are the most retarded people when it comes to their grasp on realistic depreciation and market values. R34 GTR's are now in the 40-50,000 mark... we just bought an R34 Nur for 54,000 landed n complied a couple of weeks ago... and yet if you look on the used car market, there's people out there who think their R33 GTR's are still worth 40,000, and their bog stock R34 GTR's are worth 60,000.

And the reason these people keep asking their money is because when a car comes into the used car market at well below "dreamer" price, the first thought that embeds itself into people's heads is "there must be something wrong with it, or it wouldn't be so cheap".

at the end of the day a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, and as long as there are people out there who still think "dreamer" prices are realistic, then the value of the cars will remain at "dreamer" prices.

Car(s): R32 GTS-t Auto

At least there are a few mature responses.

I wasn't looking for a R33 v R32 thread

or dyno figure thread.

The R32 GTST owners are Dreamers was also in JEST.

If you clowns can't take a joke or make a useful reply, go back to google images for more pics to keep yourself entertained.

It's only logical to compare what car you can buy at X price range.

R32 GTST's are on dreamer prices "majority of the time"

People seem to try and get all their money back or something.

i rather buy a r32 gtst for the same price as a r33 gtst;

because not many cops harras you in a 32, well ive only been pulled over once and i drive around everywhere.

not a hi powered vehicle.

95% of cops cant tell unless they punch in the rego if u have a rb25 or a rb20.

so conversion ?

same power ? less weight ? sexier look ?

plus there is less r32's going around.

i swear you posted the exact same thing in the last one of these threads dude. that or im just having major de ja vu

You also have gotta keep in mind (as sum1 stated last page) that in VIC (at least with current rules) 32 gts-t's are the highest powered skyline u can drive (they come in at like 124kw/tonne, your allowed 125kw/tonne) and almost the fastest car under those rules as well, most people who have done their research in VIC look for 1.. Mine cost me 11.5k almost 3 years ago from an importers.. 15k is too much for private but.. you see some importers ask 13ish and i've seen 30+ a few times for 32 gtr's, some people are just wack

i thought all forced induction was illegal on p's... i'm well off mine so i dont really keep up

I guess someone will pay the inflated prices some people are asking if they have their heart set on a car.

I just can't see the justification.

If you are a P plater Mexican, then fine.

but for everyone else, I don't see why.

For the same dollars there are other buys which provide a better package.

and you can't go with the usual come back of "R32's aren't as common as R33's.

yes true, but R32's are also pretty common in terms of imports out there.. you are essentially just another 150rwkw, misfiring R32 owner.

No use going further with this.. it's gong to turn in to a X v Y thread for sure.

Hey..

Lets talk about BOV's.

- IMO 32s drive (ie handle and feedback) better than 33s

- i paid 13 for my hcr32 like a year ago

- friend of mine got his 33 for 13 too

- i like mine better

- one of my friends sold his hcr32 for like 18 (like 6 months ago)

(note: i didn't read all previous posts as im a lazy sh1t)

ive had the same convo with many a person about how r32 prices are going up, and 33's dropping fast.

most responses are, as gtst said above "r33's are to common"

i dunno though... i bought my car cause i wanted it... didnt reay care if it impressed friends/other ppl on the road.

Cops arent gonna harass you different whether you drive an R32 or an R33... they see the 4 round tail lights = SKYLINE! and will f**k you over either way

Replying from personal experience and feedback.

Ive had my car for nearly 1 year, been only pulled over once.

my mate has had his r33 for 2 months and has been pulled over 4 times.

His car is stock.

My car is not.

Then again from personal experience.

    • I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.
    • Ahhhh... If you were putting 12V to the led in there, that's likely made it very unhappy. Chances are how you put power, was 12V across an LED that's meant to only have about 20mA through it at peak, and a forward voltage of about 1.8 to 2.4 volts. That circuit is likely only a 3V3 circuit, and will have a resistor in series with the led too. That's my guesstimate on that light, without having touched one.
    • Another vote for installing them and see how you go.  I mean, you already own them, why would you not fit them?
    • I have had too many of those over the years, my cars have a toolkit or at minimum a cheapy multi tool thing because its too easy to be snookered by some stupid plastic clip that stops you checking the battery terminal isn't loose.
    • Basically, if there is a part# on the nissan catalogue, it is a genuine part. There is a thing called "new old stock" which is stuff made years ago but never sold (or landfilled), but it is super hit and miss what you can buy. Other than some expensive Nismo stuff there is nothing new being made that suits these cars. The only time to be a little careful is (mostly in the US I think, but maybe Japan too), Nissan started rebranding some cheap crap maintenance parts like oil filters as "Pitworks"; stay away from them, if you are buying cheap just buy whatever the local car parts shop carries The three part numbers have an explanation on Amayama: 0V005 is auto, base style 0V015 is manual 0V505 is auto, hectic momo branded ones, maximum F&F points there!
