I'll check out a couple of places to for prices, what suburbs you looking into

Edited by WLD MAN

main north road and regency road so not sure of the suburb name 100 meters down from that intersection

i think there called auto perfection and i will be looking into scorpian tint

i know both places do top notch tint so really not sure how cheap i will be able to get it but we dont know until we ask

Hillzy when you ask you dads mate tell him we want like wholesale prices

i havnt counted everyone in this thread but im guessing there is 10 maybes and we have R31skylineclub to ask and NS.com can jump in on the group buy remember the more people we can get to put there money in the cheaper is should cost to a certain extent

for a business i did the math on 20 people paying $200 and that would be a whopping $4,000 in there bank in one hit and we all get booked in over the 1 month period. now im not sure if we would even reach 20 people but then i remembered the other 2 clubs and thought it may very well be feasible

OH btw im looking in the Enfield area i think its not toooo far for down south and if your saving a packet then does it really matter if you have to drive 20 mins to get you car tinted

i got my car done at Tint-A-Car Murray Bridge, the guys were awesome down there and did an A one job, it cost $375 for Midnight Express, the darkest legal tint available,

certaintly worth the drive lol :D , but at the time i was working at tailem bend.

I've called around... and heres the prices I got:

Tint a car - Port Rd: 84478097 - $220+tax for 35%, 20% cash job only

- Holden Hill: 82666402 - $250

Scorpion Window Tinting - Enfield: 83590554 - $320 each - top of range slight metallic in it, $250 each flat black mid range, $220 35% standard stuff - all with warranty both 35% and 20%

United Windscreen: 82694444 - $170 - 35% - lifetime warranty

for 20 cars variations of Skylines and Silvias......

if its cheap ill be in

make sure steve that you gat prices for 4 door skylines as well as 2 door as im guessing theyll be different as well and stageas haha

Stageas have black glass on the rear windows, its only the driver and passenger window that needs to be done, so id hope they would be even cheaper...lol

what kind of tint are you guys inquiring about.... will microwave sensors work through it? cos apparently if the tint is metal based you might as well throw out ur microwave sensor, it blocks the signal from getting out of the car

    • Driveline vibration is resolved. I ended up loosening all my engine mount and trans mount bolts, giving it a good shake then retightening everything and it's gone... Let's just say I was surprised that fixed it.  I've been happily driving it around again but unfortunately put zero time into my direct port/constant pressure WMI setup. I'm on vacation next week, so I'll try and finalize it then.  On a different note, I spent all week fuel/ignition mapping 2x 216L V16 engines. Turbo's were burning glycol and we swapped them out for larger units. We also had planned emissions testing on site, so I figured I'd be there the same week to use their instrumentation and massage any emissions issues out if needed. This was a first for me. Fuel management is similar in certain ways to automotive (i.e air density as load variable) but very different in others. It's all PLC based and AFR's are controlled by air and not fuel. They use a control valve between the turbo and air manifold to control pressure which in turn controls AFR's. Due to this, target AFR tables supplied by the OEM are in pressures and not mass which really through me off. They use air pressure vs fuel pressure tables. I also relied on an O2 concentration sensor the emissions team had in the exhaust. Ignition timing was also all over the place and we were losing a fair bit of power. They're now happily sitting at 16-40BTDC depending on load. We were making about 1600kw at 900rpm at 90% load. Engines were running a lot smoother as well.
    • heh, aint no R32 ever meeting modern targa cage rules unless the driver is veeeery short OP, good luck with the sale, since its already in the land of freedom I'm sure you will find a good buyer.
    • meh, it was a good video, clear about the issue and how he dealt with it. A bit heavy on the RTV and very brave to put an RB in anything without rebuilding it first, but otherwise I thought it was good Dose, I'm not sure that having the pickup forward is a big issue; yes of course the oil could shift under brakes but the sump should never be empty enough for that to be a problem (unless you also have a higher volume oil pump, and that oil can't return from the head to the sump quickly enough)
