ghey.

It would look like arse without the rear guards also done.

And then it would be a mega insult to R33 GTR's as the GTST simply won't perform off the line like the GTR nor would it have that RB26 solid follower exhaust note.

A R33 looks nice as it is; std kit, slightly lowered with nice wheels and 265's all round.

Why not flog the car off; save up a little more and grab an R33 GTR?

This is how I look at it.

A GT-R is a beast but the GTS-T is also a beast in it's own right.

Don't make it into what it's not... love it for it... I've done enough mods to my GTS-T that I think it can either keep up to or beat a GT-R... but the point is, I love it for it and won't want to be something else.

and does anyone have pics of being done before?

well this is my baby. its a 400R front, which is easily the hottest imo. but i bought it with all that kit so i couldnt really tell you the rest. looks good but.

i see no harm in replicating a gt-r, as long as you dont put badges on it.

Speaking of badges.... too many GTS-T's with GT-R badges... why?

no fuggen idea. its so lame. gts-ts are awesome and own most other cars on the street, be proud of that.

mind you, i resent stockies very much. they look so ugmo. and weak.

Yeah that's right. A 6-cyclinder turbo monster is a monster is it's own right. :O

However, stockies look piss-weak... that's true.

Nothing wrong with making the car look similiar like a GT-R - e.g. bars, wing etc... but I even ordered pesonalised GTS-T badges.. as I am proud of what my beast is..

way to hijack the thread spunky.

to the op, im guessing since the gtr is based on the series one your lights will fit. however gtst grill, and i think reo are different. front bar too obviously. note: this is just a guess. dont take it as gospel

So with a series 1 gtst, no need to change headlights???only front bar, bonnet?.......also, i dont wnt my car to look like a gtr, just want it to look different to every other gtst floating about. Ive seen a stst with gtr front and it look nice, and didnt look odd without the rear guards....

please stay on topic and advised what needs changing.

thanks

I've done this to my car..and i've answered the same question several times in the last month or so.. So i suggest you do a search next time.

But anyway this is what you need to do.

If you want to put on R33 GTR front guards, you need to change bonnet, bonnet hinges, bonnet latch, Headlights are the same jsut need to drill a whole on the top bracket and get headlight spacers (to space them out 1 inch or so)

GTR front bar, GTR reinforcement (maybe), Guard raisers (lifts guards up about an inch), GTR inner guards, side indicators, Grill.

I've been there and done that, and if i were you, i wouldn't bother..It wont leave you much change from $2000 (and thats for 2nd hand parts).

Only reason i done it to my GTST is for sentimental reasons and to clear bigger wheels.

But if you do need the parts, the guys that done my car can supply you.

Good luck :P

I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
    • 310mm rotors will be avilable from Australia, Japan, and probably a few other places. Nothing for the front can be put on the back.
    • The filter only filters down to a specific size. Add to that, the filter is AFTER the pump. So it means everything starts breaking your pump even if its being filtered out.
    • Just like in being 14mm too small (296mm) makes it not fit, being 14mm too big (324mm) it also won't fit. You want to find the correct rotor.
    • @GTSBoy Ok so that was the shops problem...they showed R33 rotors on R34 page and i did not know 296 do not fit(and are for R33) Yes i bought "kit" with rotors and pads. Pads are ok(i have GTT calipers front and rear). They have some 324mm but no 310mm. So i dont know if they would fit. I have 17inch LMGT4s So another question. Can i fit those in the rear or they are just "too" big for that?
