yeah but the original one has the province (SWAT is divided up into regions) across the bottom. The logical thing to do would be to put australia on it... or Australia in japanese... ie オーストラリア.

It'd look kinda retarded if a bunch of aussies rolled around with SWAT Kyushu stickers.

valid point...

will try and get that pointing to the subforum.

Any more progress with this....

I just tried it, says it is a shared IP address.

I am going to print some up before the weekend, and would like more time rather than less.

Thanks

Guys,

Whatever happened to this brilliant idea!!! I was thinking that we need to find someone with a high quality vinyl cutter (one that cuts individual lettering) so that this can be done properly. The effect we are after is like the one earlier in this thread on the back of that 260RS.

To make it easier one sticker that would suit Stagea owners for the whole of Australia would be cool, like this:

SWAT.jpg

The individually cut out white letters would look awesome on our almost black heavily tinted tails....

All we need is someone/some business able to do this!!

I can get this done. Give me dimensions and numbers - i'll give you a price.

I'll be going the plainest one possible. Will look tough on an all black car i think. :-)

I'll get back to you later this evening with some dimensions, I should really do some work right now though.... :D

Umm, I just realised the small writing under the S.W.A.T probably cant be cut that well on vinyl. I agree with keeping it plain for sure, but I think the explanation of SWAT would be essential. Reckon its possible to do?

I was thinking about 30cm wide at this stage.

that can be cut easily on vinyl. Its just picking out the areas you remove that are difficult haha... but he can print ink on the vinyl, so that may be easier. Plenty of options.

More I think about the more I think cut-out lettering will not work.

The design above is pretty damn perfect, bar the white border, all I wanted was the japanese lettering for Australia (which I believe in romaji is goushuu) below the "Stage Web for Advanced Tune bit. I think we need someone to create an image file with the above japanese word in japanese lettering so it can be pasted in I reckon?

I tried to find it and alter the above photo but I'm just not good at this sorta crap.

All I want is it to look like this:

post-37736-1204538307_thumb.jpg

Which I must admit looks good and its not cut-out!!

i can give adrian the picture of what we want done, as well as a web link to here. From there he weill be able to print the exact design straight onto vinyl and cut it. It will end up as a mixture of printed and cut vinyl i'd say, to get it looking the best. The letters will be printed and cut seperately so there is no square border etc.

roomaji for autralia is osutoraria. katakana is オーストラリア. The actual name for australia, when written in kanji, is Goushuu, i'll try and find the kanji for it. I'll ask in the Japan section on here.

That'd look abbroad minded femaleely brilliant with some Japanese writing I reckon

I have no idea what that means :P

But i think it will look.... 'effective'...

Seriously, I have no idea what happenned there, all I wrote was:

"That'd look brilliant", as to that other crap, I dunno, but I'll leave it cos it looks funny. I may have said bloody?

I have no idea how that text could possibly appear like that.

Edited by Stage Name

The stickers were printed (for WA) in early December, and given out on a (SAU) run, that lots were turning up to, but never did!

They were also given out at a "Whoop Arse Wednesday" drag meet, and again at Wanneroo Barbagllo raceway.

The enthusiasm was so overwhelming that I only gave out about 5!! These are being proudly worn on some cars.

I will keep them in my centre console, for when we have a better turn-out.

If you guys in other states want them. I don't mind modifying the template, with whatever you can make out of SWAT, (or twat if you like!!)

Forget the japanese, unless someone want's to send me the text changed to a curve, and must be a vector file. If you don't understand this lingo, then forget it, cause it'll take up too much time.

The stickers are rated for about 4years are easy to produce, and I haven't charged for them. BUT, I am not prepared to foot the postage. So if you want one, either nominate one person in your area or PM me, and send a SAE, to my address and I'll send the stickers by return.

I can't see any other easy way. I wouldn't charge more than $5 each even if I was selling retail, and it really isn't worth the hassle, with exchange of funds etc.

Sorry I haven't posted the answer earlier. I have been busy sailing ..... my other passion.

OK after reading the whole post again, here is the goushuu sticker, altered as requested.

Please don't worry about the colours they have been colour matched to the original sticker and print fine.

If someone wants to give me numbers then I'll print them off.

The fluro green line is the cutting line, so ignore that too.

John

You ned a vector file for the kanji for goushuu? why, if its just being printed, not cut?

Pity about the website - any news on getting the stageasaustralia.com one going on? FunkyMonkey?

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
