Yes 502awkw...not bad for low-mounts at 25psi.

Won the "tough as nails" trophy for toughest judged car in show.

If i wasn't in invitational class and a normal entrant would have also won...KW/litre champ, Highest 6 cyl power and Highest overall power.

now getting the car ready for Supernats at WSID on the 16th of Dec. Would love to have some SAU support there.

Big thanks to Mick and Katie from ACT for their help with the car over the weekend.

Youre very welcome Paul, we were happy to help out.

Thanks for the beers on Saturday night! :P

You deserved that "Tough as nails" trophy there wasnt another car there that could do everything Twoogle can!

I think people are forgetting that SAU NSW was the major part of the display but there was a certain little R32 Gtst that drove all the way there to represent SAU ACT... I know that ACT isnt a recognised "club" but I think that award counts for both NSW and ACT doesnt it?

Anyway... Bring on next year!

Congratulations guys and girls!

I'm really happy to hear that we've received an award on only our second "official" display as a club, especially for winning "Best Club Attitude!"

I wish I could have helped out this time, but hopefully I will be there next time to bring some Stagea love to the SAU display. I'm planning a few mild mods here and there (the usual Skyline-related stuff), and it needs a good detailing job or a few touch-ups before I make some more very minor visual mods.

Three cheers to Paul (NSA11N), Steven (Dr DOOF) and Jess (Sinful) for getting it all together, and all the other entrants for helping to show the variety of events SAU likes to be involved in, as well as the positive aspects and attitudes of the club and forums as a whole!

Yes i have te trophy here, i will be taking it on the with me on saturday to give to Adam (abobob)

Adam,

Spoke to adam on sunday night, forgot to tell you, but Adam isn't going on the cruise...

Also, Trophies are available to all entrants, talk to Malcolm, he has the details

Hmmm... anyway we can do it without talking to Malcolm? He's a busy man

Do we just call Auto Salon? Cause I put so much damn effort into that show, I'm about $900 in debt, and I haven't even seen the trophy :nyaanyaa:

Noooooooooooooooooooo

I'm $150 in debt...

Alisa told me we owed them another $120 - so i forked that out....

And some DR DOOF dude also owes me $30

Do i win?

No, you don't... Also, I think Alisa got the amounts wrong...

With 2 interstate members (maybe 1), and 2 members that paid by credit card, and 2 lots of power...

$120 x 12 - (2 CC payments, 1 interstate) = ($120 x 9) + ($80 x 2) = $1240... Isn't that how much we sent off?

Jay didn't pay for his shirt did he? :nyaanyaa:

damn right I'm right... being an acountant has it's bonuses :D

The only thing I didn't originally count on, was them saying the ACT is in NSW

As for the shirt money, remind me next time I see you, I should have paid you after lunch, but I was farked and totally forgot...

But yeah, what of trophies? I would really really like one, so much effort went into this, and it's a nice little piece to remind me that my efforts weren't for nothing :)

Yes i did... I always stuck with that amount, it was changed on the day...

YOU WANNA FIGHT ABOUT IT CORINNE?!

Cause I do... im kinda bored... and just had a fig biscuit that tasted like BO :vomit:

I dunno, and I dunno... Personally I think someone who actually helped whould get that trophy, and if SAU wants one for their imaginary trophy case, they can buy one...

But either way, I still want one...

    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
