If you decide to part it off:

How much for the brembos? What sort of condition are they in.

Also, if your intrested, we could prehaps do a deal for a swap with my standard R32 GTR callipers with cash your way to allow you to still get RWC.

well if it comes to it that you decide to sell parts off of it, i shotgun nismo kit and fuel sender unit and posibly weather shields if you have them.

Cheers,

Simon

hey dude

dont mean anything bad here in anyway but you mentioned you lost your licence, tho the police didnt attend the scene.??

anyways was interested in parts if your going that way

That's okay, I can see it would be confusing. At accident cops, ambulance and maybe fireys were called. Only the ambo's turned up. They took me to casualty since I was in shock and there the cops forced a blood test. I heard nothing for three months, then got a summons. Hence license disappeared. I have it back now, that's long since history.

Seriously, the car is kosher. End of me answering questions about that, if you've got cash to buy it and are concerned about that, come and see me, we can go to the cop shop together and get it checked it out :)

Ok, pics, after a horrendous experience uploading to imageshack. They're fairly big, I thought detail was best.

You can see the worst of the damage above the front passenger wheel where the car spun and hit a brick post, actually knocking the post over. The wheel was pushed under the car, this is where the CV was bent, the control arms folded up, the mag torn up and the strut bent. All those have been replaced. Obviously the quarter panel is a bit of an issue, that's where the contact with the other car happened, the corner of that car. The back of the car shore off a small palm tree, hence the pushing in of the spare tire section a little and the crease vertically up the rear bumper and boot.

EDIT: FYI The quarter panel, I think was about $790 from Nissan when I checked. Don't rely on that - call and check with them, but that's from my vague memory.

Sorry mate, but if I sell that to you the person who buys the car will likely have to look for one then!

If it comes to parts, it's yours, but that seems pretty unlikely to be honest, sorry.

Right now the entire dash, consoles, everything is all together and in great nick, not going to ruin when I'm trying to sell it!

    • Hey everyone. Is there a way I can get the original window sticker (maroney label) for my 1995 R33 GTST? I doubt I’ll be able to ever get it but it’s worth a shot to ask
    • Have a vb in honour of the car comming back
    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
