Rav
no check the oil when the engine is at operating tempuse the dipstick and check the level of oil in the engine ok if you dont see the warning light at post diag then it could be dead so you could in fact have low oil pressure under load when you say it drops - what rpm does it drop to 2 at? When iam on full boost so the car is around 5 to 6rpm the gauge will drop and the gauge will read around 2 on the pressure gauge. Just then i warmed the car up, the dip stick read about half way so might just be low oil, Ok dont laugh people like 2days ago i tryed to change my oil i coundnt get the built off the sump . 46n2
From the engine manual (for RB26): at operating temp your oil pressure should be approximately: 1.5 kg/cm2 @ 800rpm 3 kg/cm2 @ 2000rpm 4.6 kg/cm2 @ 6000rpm Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/199466-need-help/page/2/#findComment-3560015 Share on other sites

Kaz200
what are the oil types? SE SF SG etc? anyoneknow? you should just call my uncle tomorrow and rack his brain Peter - Mobil Lubeline 1800 033 863 From memory, and from memory of Peter talking at the SAU meeting.. the higher the letter (ie SG), the more recent the oil/newer standard etc. So SE was released in like 1979, SF is from 1980 or thereabouts. So SG is better protection and what not... Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/199466-need-help/page/2/#findComment-3560571 Share on other sites

Rav
Well i change the oil and now when i stick it the pressure gauge jumps between 2 and 4 i rekkin it might be the gauge because its goes all jerky. i know this got nuffin do with the pressure, but even the light for the gauge plays up one minute its on the next it turns off by it self.
