Dingus
Just wondering if R34 GT-T rims are the same size as R32 and 33 GTS-T ones? And the same size tyres? Or what size tyres would I need? Dingus
D/w have my answer now, they are 17"s, not 16"s like the 32 and 33 have. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/199695-r34-stock-rims/#findComment-3559505 Share on other sites
bubba
I do believe they are also 7.5" wide as opposed to 7" wide. I have 34gtt rims for daily driving and I run 225/45/17s all round. Abo Bob
I do believe they are also 7.5" wide as opposed to 7" wide. I have 34gtt rims for daily driving and I run 225/45/17s all round. This is correct and the correct size too. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/199695-r34-stock-rims/#findComment-3563935 Share on other sites
Qik33R
I used to run 235/45/R17's on my GT-T. I would not say its the best choice, if you're looking for good cornering/responsiveness etc. but it did make driving the car feel nicer on highways etc, uno, when you're just taking things easy. The GT-T still cornered great in my opinion, but I never really pushed the car too hard. Abo Bob
Oh that's the size I used. I misread bubba's post, thought it said 235. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/199695-r34-stock-rims/#findComment-3564128 Share on other sites
avrahan
235/45r17 are a lot more common and are usuall readily available at any tyre shop...this also mean they tend to be cheaper:D your friendly neighbourhood tyre man Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/199695-r34-stock-rims/#findComment-3569116 Share on other sites
bubba
Currently running Federal ss595 in 225/45/17 on the front of my car, fit the rims quite nicely, sit nice and square and handles very nicely (also don't look as ghey rolled over as the same size/different brand tyres on the back). Going to try squeeze some 245's on the back when I need new rear tyres.. chak8080
If I'm running 19x8.5 for the front rims what would be the safest tire size? 225's? I don't want to sacrifice turning ability or scrub or have to modify anything. And my rear will be 19x9.5... I'm hoping to be able to fit 265's without scrubing or work.. is it possible?
