the PCYC has a court upstairs so I'll go shoot hoops for 15mins to warm up... then squaaaats;)

put a hoop up recently... on the front of the car port... haven't had a hoop since I was living at home many moons ago... daylight savings is awesome, get home from work and have enough daylight to shoot around

having a basketball game the day after a powerlifting comp doesn't work particularly well... feels like your in slow motion... epic lower back pump

Bought myself a close grip handle for T-bar rows since the one my gym has for the seated row is a ghey piece of shit without a recession to sit the bar in between the handles. Turned up yesterday (I think it was overnight delivery lol). f**k I love T-bar rows, back is really feeling it all the way through my traps and lats right now.

One of the many great purchases out there to take to the gym with me. For $35 it's not bad.

I find T bar rows the best back exercise for the mid back... especially with the little v handle... better than barbell rows IMHO

I always use the smaller 10kg plates for this... makes for more loading/unloading but you can get a better ROM as the bigger plates hit you in the chest before you can really get your elbows up and back

you can also use that handle on the pull up bar... lean back a bit and pull your chest up the the handle etc

This post. Spot on. Love it.

I can get a better contraction with my hands in that position... I feel it works the rhomboids better... as long as your not too upright and using lots of body english to swing the weight up (then it becomes a half shrug movement)

I also like Pendlay rows and one arm dumbbell rows... The Pendlay's I like to go heavy and not too strict on form... T bar and dumbbell rows done strictly with a pause at the top

barbell rows into my stomach, navel region... T bar rows into my sternum area

reverse flyes for rear delts... powercleans for traps... pull ups for lats... Deadlifts for all of it

love training back lol

Ok so i'm going to try Rippetoe's starting strength for the first time tonight. I'll be working at it for 6-8 weeks over this summer as I now have down time to sleep and eat a bit better now that my CIT course is finished.

Lets see what sort of strength gains I can make...

Got Milk?

PS - there isn't enough deadlifting in his program...

I know he goes on about it needing more recovery time etc etc.

But I got stuck on a shit weight for a long time doing it his way.

added more volume for deadlifts and shot up many kilos for it.

    • Robertson was a Canadian inventor, and it absolutely reigns supreme here. 95% of our screws are Roberston. It's literally the only option you can buy off store shelves. What would it have lost out too? I believe it's also very popular in the US.  My reference to imperial was pointed to both NPT and BSP.
    • No. BSP lost to the cultural/technical imperialism of living next to Trumpistan. Face it, Robertson screws were better and still pretty much lost out to the yank stuff. The Europeans hate the Brits and they don't use NPT. NPT is just as "imperial" as BSP is, being based on those useless inch thingos. Just done differently.
    • I live in Quebec. Our license plate slogan is "Je me souviens" Translated is "We will remember" as a reminder to when England conquered us and that we must never forget what they did. Long story short, BSP is unheard of here due to being an English design. I'm surprised our nazi anti english government office the OQLF hasn't kicked in my door yet just talking about it, yet alone imperial anything.
    • Thanks for that! I did a quick Google search looked up some of hydaulic stores and didn't see it listed on the website, I'll give them a ring. Also found out later that I can buy 2 oem bleeder bolts for 10 bux and come with the washer which I might do so I don't waste the money it costs in petrol to find 2 washers (already did that lol). The old copper washes look in good nick, I drove it after taking it off and putting it back on and didn't see any  Part number here for reference if anyone needs: 14053-42L0A
