I'm looking at buying a stock R34 25GT. Is it possible to turbocharge this vehicle? I've noticed there's not a heap of space under the bonnet, could this be costly.

Also i would like to know the same thing, except with an R33 GTS, there's considerable space in the engine bay, so i assume it would be easier.

bear in mind, i would take it to a proffesional to get it done, not do it myself.

Cheers guys!

you can easily turbo either ...

having said that ...

for a basic setup you would need the turbo model's (either 34 or 33) manifold, turbo, intercooler and plumbing, ecu, fuel pump, injectors etc etc

even with all this the static compression ratio is alot higher in the NA models. This fact is a double edged sword. In one hand it provides better driveability (to an extent) but it will ultimately restrict the amount of boost and hence power that you can produce. You can push the factory turbo motor so much further for the same amount of money or less.

if you want a turbo skyline IMO it would be cheaper to buy one already turbo charged from factory and go from there ...

hope that helps

Please read the threads in the NA section

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Na...-Perfo-f53.html

The stickies in there are very detailed about "how to turbo your NA" and so on.

Best bet is to start reading in there mate.

cheers
