Well on a fine comb inspection last night i noticed that the mags have been scratched when going on. Basically the rattle gun has worn away paint of some rims in the nut chamber. Off to the tire shop today, see what they propose to do. I didnt buy brand new mags to have paint missing from a simple careless job!

thats something thats almost unavoidable....in all reality it'll happen eventually even if you use a tyre brace and do it by hand....I wouldn't be overly concerned about it and I'd think the tyre shop will say the same thing, its near impossible to stop that happening!

^^^^^ Me too... I'd be pissed! People don't take care anymore huh? I have a white leather steering wheel in my R32 (Yea yea, I know, we've got to make mistakes to learn from them though) I took it to a mechanic in Townsville, came back with greasy black prints all over it! Grrrrr.....

What did the shop say they'll do for you??

i jus bought a new set of rims from the koya new catalogue....was tossing up between ur style ones and the ones i ended up gettin...i have a silver S2 33 so went for the similar look....

ill post some pics up if u and anyone else wants me to...let me know!

I just shat my pants,

very nice (best Borat impersonation)

Looks awesome mate, but definitely needs to be lowered just a little bit to make it look complete...

either that or some sideskits and rear bar

*BEWARE OF GUTTERS*

man do they make the stock rotors look tiny...

Cheers dude, Im very happy with the look its achieved :D

Yeh im planning on some nismo skirts and probably a rear bar like yours, or an Impul item.

Other then that the looks department is nearly completed!

Yeh brakes look lame now but :)

Thanks for your input Yo Yo!

nismo side skirts and matching rear bar (like mine) will look sweet.

Impul kit flares out a bit more so I don't think it will flow with the stock frontbar

Just paint your brake calipers like I did lol! I was gonna do them in brembo gold but the supercheat auto only had the anodised red left at the time.

This is why when ever i've bought new rims i got the tyre shop to fit the tyres and balance them, then i take them home and fit them myself carefully with a torque wrench like they should have been done in the first place ! Then i return and get the alignment done.

I also don't like rattle guns anywhere near my blue anodised Rays wheels nuts.

Nice rims dude, :) i've got 19" Koya Race teks with black centres and polished lip on my 32. ;)

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
