Which Exhaust System?

hi all...got a S2 R33 and wanting to put on an exhaust system on my car....

what is the best type/setup for the liners..? how many inch wide pipes etc....

i also want it to be on like a switch or something so that i can have it on silent from time to time and be able to switch it to loud jus by flicking a switch....

can u let me know the systems that have this type of capability or what i should be looking for in order to have this type of setup...

Hi Mate

i got a trust power 2 extreme cat back on my car and its a great exhaust.

These are good because they are not too load on idle but give you a nice note as you more up the ears - create sound not noise.

Buy a decent Japanese made system, turbo back. Dont go cheap, the drone will annoy you.

As above...The Jp systems are the best bet. They come with a Db rating so you have some confidence that you "probably" wont get defected. Switch-Apexi do a valve that can restrict the noise but i dont know that i'd want that. The quality systems sound fine anyway. Size-3 inch is fine for a "line" under 400KW

The HKS Super Dragger is very old and is no longer made.

Your best bet is to get a quiet street system, like the Kakimoto Regu 06&R.

I have seen a lot of different exhaust systems out of Japan and in terms of build quality, the Kakimoto is up there as one of the best.

Fujitsubo are great.I have a version of the RM-01A(look like it anyway) and its really quiet on the freeway no drone what so ever.And a symphony to listen to when you bring on the boost.

Hey mate i just installed myself yesturday the Kakimoto Regu 06&R exhaust. I also used a just jap front pipe and cat.

Sounds quite on idle but then when you put your foot into it sounds great!! not a drone, not farting but a reali nice sound. Was reali suprised how nice it did sound. And for the cost it was quite good. Looked well made etc etc

Droney... Actually that is what I had and I sold it as I could not stand the drone after a while. They are cheap and give good power, but you really NEED an extra oval resonator in there instead of that canon or weld one in the middle of the exhaust!

I have at the moment only a cat-back custom made 3.5" system with resonator and a cannon.

Sounds great and definetly a performance upgrade felt!
