for the rb25det ecu, what would you have your kill switch cutting?

'start switch' sounds like a good one to me? i guess i could always go the fuel pump relay too , but if theres any fuel in the rail, it will still start :(

(btw i have a 3 point immobilizer and alarm, this is just extra)

grab the IGN feed on the ECU. that will stop it. fuel pump is another. the car WILL NOT start and run with no fuel in the rail. if it primes yes but no prime =no fuel so no go.

My mates RX7 got stolen with the fuel cut. Only got down the road though but still got his subs and cd's.

does not have to be from the ecu, maybe power feed to the igniter, that way it will crank but not start and hopefully they just think the car is f**ked and leave it.

A better way to do it is a good alarm to deter them from getting in to begin with.

  • 4 weeks later...

anyone know which number wire to cut from the ecu to kill the ignition I ended up just cutting the fuel pump relay supply, the car will still run but only for about 5 seconds, I also tried cutting the afm ground and ignition grounds but car still ran (i dont want to chop anymore wires until i'm sure now)

I used the ecu pin out diagram from here http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/

or here http://wiki.r31skylineclub.com/images/7/72...ECU_Pinouts.jpg

that was the problem there are multiple 12V feeds (well 3 i can see straight off) to the ecu it was starting to get to a chop and try to start it sort of thing but didnt want to mess the loom up too much if someone knows which wire exactly to chop, maybe I could just intercept the eccs relay. Wires I tried were 109, 10, 26 but car can run without these surprisingly

well i spent a good part of saturday on this... and now it works... :) it was a bit harder then i thought it would be but in the end it was worth the work... i just got back from a "test drive" as it were and no problems what so ever... i cannot start the car unless i hit the push button and then away she goes... i can only energise the relays once the car is turned over to the "ON" position... the "ACC" wont allow power to the relays and the relays will stay energised untill the car is turned off... i chose 2 cut 16, 18 & 43... i have the option (if i decide to later) to cut more I/O to the ECU but unless i have a good enuf reason to do this, i dont think it is necessary...

ill probably post up a "how to" on how to do this later on... that is, when i get all my shit together... lol

parts costed me <$50 and a bit of electrical know how... its not as hard as it seems but it is "hard" to go cutting wires to the ECU, especially when uve just bought a PFC...

    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
