should have no problems if you run a tunable ECU, new injectors , dyno time and move the AFM..... i'd say 4000-4500 rpm for full boost with the larger exhaust...

do it right rather than just bolting on a big turbo as you will more than likely lean out the engine then you are looking for a new one.

maybe add some heat sheild under the bonnet above the turbo as your bonnet is going to get very hot.. HEHEHEH looking good though

Got any specs for it? Exhaust A/R? What model T04 is it? T04E? looks to be an older style garrett turbo, looking at the compressor outlet.

Anyways, Going by looking at it....... and Judging by the T4 footprint and the size of the comp cover/exhaust housing, That thing is going to be a lag monster, as that is a VERY large exhaust housing for a little 2 ltr.

Ive just purchased a Trust TD06 20G 8cm, and I thought that would be a tad laggy, but from everything I can read Im looking at maybe 4000 - 4200 full boost. And that's a shitload larger than a TD06 mate.

If your car is "Drift style", why go for such a large huffer? Why not go for something really responsive with good power delivery? Is it A genuine garrett or an ebay job? The manifold sure looks EBAY spec. And why mount the AFM directly on the front of the turbo?

If you want to retain some form of street drivability, then I suggest maybe a smaller turbo. Or at least a smaller exhaust housing. Id be very surprised if that made full boost before 5000-5500.

Mind you, this is just by a visual inspection. Id be after some more data to give more confident advice.

What other mods are done? Injectors/Cams/AFM/management/internals.... cause you'll need the first four if you intend on running some big boost with that thing.

    • Yes, overthinking. Many PS reserviors are completely opaque. Our Skyline ones, for example. Have to remove lid, peak inside, swirl the dipstick, try to remember how to read it, etc etc. Normal. Radiator overflows are often sufficiently opaque and scunged up that you can't see the true level inside anyway, and have to open and have a peak. Besides which, I replaced the (massively expensive, even back then) plastic overflow in my Alfa GTV, back in the '90s with a stainless one that I had a good fabricator make up to be dimensionally same-same, that looks remarkably similar to the Bogan's Moroso one above, and I never suffered any particular paranoia that I didn't know how much coolant was in it.
    • Looks great, but I'm always concerned that it makes it difficult to see what level the fluids are at. Am I overthinking this?
    • Looks fancy But after having a look, prior to its installation, I noticed that the yellow looking power steering reservoir would look crap next to this So I have this incoming..... Much cheaper than the Moroso and has great reviews (yeap, it's a Moroso knock off)
    • Can we place bets? My money is on there is always the option to use the 1 way profile. So the diff is either 2 way and 1 way, or 1.5 way or 1 way.
    • I also used Knox driveshafts when I the slip yoke T56 to the 3bolted TR6060 type. I believe I was one of his first jobs as it literally changed hands when I was there, started by the old owner and finished by the new. Everyone seemed pretty great about it. So wasn't shy/seemed pretty knowledgeable when dealing with weird custom people like me.
