Show N Shine And Collie Drift Weekend!

Recommended Posts

Bunbury for the Max youth festival and then Collie drift comp over the 5th and 6th of

April.

The Max youth festival have invited Silvia W.A. to attend their event as a guest display in their show and shine event. The event will combine a unique mixture of Music, Art and Xtreme sports in an entertaining display celebrating Bunbury’s youth culture and encouraging participation in community activities.

Sunday we will be heading off from Bunbury just up the road to the Collie motorplex for the first Collie drift comp of 2008.

Im in the process of talking to Josh from silviaWA, this cruise for now is only silviaWA members but im trying to organise a joint cruise type deal here, silWA has a section lined up for show and shine and can possibly get us a spot next to them... as its a little while away i thought id just throw it up and see how many i can get interested. so if anyone is keen please let me know as im trying to give them a rough idea on how many will come!!

cheers guys!

P.S. did i mention i am a detailer now... ill give a special deal on sauwa members!! pm me for details...lol... get it, details... omg how random, ima shut up now!

Hey Dudes,

I'm the social events co-ord for Silwa and am organizing the cruise down and also display for Silwa. If you need any extra info on the event or even collie drift happy time @ collie let me know!

Our thread for organization of the event can be found here http://www.silviawa.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34532 this has all the info on our accom etc etc!

Cheers

-Marc

Just thought that I'd let y'all know that the same weekend the Forrest Rally is on at Busselton, Collie and Nanup.

4th, 5th and 6th April.

Accomodation might be hard to get (around Busso anyway).

SAUWA as a club wont be participating this year. It has been discussed but timing etc is against us to organise it.

We would certainly be happy to look at it next year if we can get some more info with a bit more notice.

forget it... if any of you guys wanna head up for the drifting at collie, feel free, $100 entry fee... feel free to let me know as i am heading up there on the sunday... early!!

I'm pretty sure the Collie guys have another event on the Saturday (not drifting). With the collie comps there very relaxed and you just get out there and go drifting all morning pretty much like and practice day.

Their comps consist of stopping the drifting in late arvo and just having the top 10 cars doing some extra laps to see who they think is the best driver.

So if you want to get some drift prac in, come down and "enter" :D

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
