Well it's been ages since anyone's organised or done a Thursday night Skyline cruise and in saying that, we're due for one.

I've not yet taken the GT-R out for a run on a Thursday night and since I've not taken it out for a while, it's time to roll out the red carpet and make an appearance with it.

The night will start on the northside and make it's way to the southside of town.

Location 1

When: Thursday, 6th March. 2008

Time: 8PM

Where: DFO Carpark

From here, we'll make our way over to Mt Cootha Lookout...

Location 2

Time: 9PM

Where: Mt Cootha lookout (where you usually sit along the dirt gravel area looking at the city)

Then from here, we'll proceed over to riverside near south bank....

Location 3

Time: 10PM

Where: Riverside

After riverside... those that are up for a highway run heading south are welcome to join us in our journey to the Goldcoast...

Regular Thursday night cruises have been doing the Brisbane to Goldcoast run as Saturday nights are Goldcoast to Brisbane.

Post up those that are interested in attending this.

Bring out the skylines and lets make this a big Thursday night for the skylines for a change

I'll have the camera with me of course and i'm sure others will take this chance to get a heap of photos with all the skylines lined up together

Attending :-

hate to put a downer on this mate but if u are meaning the DFO on airport drive i have been there with another club a while ago and it has been chained off apart from the staff parks and docks around the back but we were also warned last time we were there that it was federal land as it's all owned by the airport and u need written permission to be there otherwise it's a federal offence which is a bad thing... it wasn't the usual scare tactic either as i personally spoke to the security guard and he was very nice and just warned me for future reference

but other than that it sounds like a good idea to have a SAU thurs nite meeting and i will try and drop by but i'm usually at pinelands from 9:30 on...

Hope what i have said helps man

ok firstly sorry for being a party pooper again....but.... from my experiences with toombul the security there are instructed to call the cops immediately.....and make u move on.... they might have changed since i was last there tho

however... the sound of the later heading down the freeway which i assume would be maybe meeting up with the pinelands ppl... sounds really good man.... i'll do my best to be somewhere

p.s. i'm not a killjoy i just have been cruising long enough to know the no-go places

I dont think that you will find toombool a bad place to go, since there is plenty of space. If we where to park in the carpark they can move you on just because you a stopped. I think toombul is a good meet spot. I am really lookin forward to meeting some of the members.

    • I was able to improve to a 3:46.7 which was .5 slower than silver. I just couldn't do any better but then I was able to just link the sections so nicely and got a 3:44.6. stoked with that.  AMG around Barcelona looks good. I'll save that for the weekend.
    • hey GTSboy thanks for the quick reply. im on stock ECU  Surprisngly enough i unplug everything and replug everything, readings are still off but the car drove...ok haha So far this is what i have done. - Replaced ECU (still 1.5v) - Replaced Boost sensor (still 1.5v) Now the next thing i tried is to unplug the TPS and only plug in the Boost sensor to see if it reads 5v. No it still only read 1.5v.  Its a new boost sensor and i know i have 5v if i dont plug the sensor back in, so that means the power wire is good. So now im thinking that it might be a bad ground on the boost sensor plug.  on the FSM says the ground to the boost sensor is  a sensor ground, can i add a ground wire from the boost sensor ground wire to the the engine itself to ground it? or chassis?
    • OK, so, assuming that there is nothing wrong with either the original or new boost sensor, then it would seem that there might be something wrong in the loom wiring to that sensor. This is troublesome, because if that were true, then you might expect the problem to persist when the sensor was unplugged. But seeing as the voltage comes good when it is unplugged, it would suggest that the fault might (and I stress might) be right at the loom plug. Either that, or the fault might be at the ECU, on the line in from the boost sensor. When you unplug the boost sensor, that input at the ECU is isolated from the TPS sensor and can't affect it. This would be semi-bad, as an ECU problem is never welcome, but at least you'd know where the problem is and it might be fixable, or at least replaceable. Do you have Nistune, or any other way of looking at ECU data? I'd want to drive the car around with the boost sensor unplugged and see the TPS working properly, then not working properly with the sensor plugged back in. You're not trying to run more than ~18 psi either? Right? Because even with Nistune that can be difficult with the boost sensor connected. Just checking, in case it might have some bearing on the issue. It shouldn't cause the voltage situation you're seeing though.
    • Need something reliable, like a Mazda (non-rotary), or a Honda, or a .......... Commodore 🤣, the only issue with my cars is me 🫤
