yeh must of hard a thrashing.... like i can push more boost into it but its the fuel that is totally anal and we all know the stock AFM is as helpful as cancer....

i was just devo'd like omg lol.....

steve said new injectors, ECU and fuel pump should b fine. i should make 200-220kws atleast. and im goin to get him to do a plenum job as well, makes the engine bay look so much more sexual.

sounds correct to me my old 33 made around the 165 pretty much same mods! threw a power fc in with new pump run at 15psi 210rwkw

but also depends on the dyno, u might go turbo tune then morpowa and you could have from 140-160rwkw... like i said dont worry about the figures! should have saved that money and put it towards a speed lab tune... u need a slap boy :(

200-220 you might be struggling bud its only a lil 2ltr, you would need to run 15-16psi and then the turbs will most prob end up falling apart, get the pump n remap for 14 psi get around 170-180 and that will be more then enough for you

thats what you get for going to people who have NFI

you do not need new injectors or ecu to make that power, however if its runnign too lean currently then theres a high chance your fuel pump is FUBAR in which case chuck a bosch or walbro in there.

once you have done that, make the effort to go and see jeff the speed lab and get him to remap it, then you'll be cranking the power.

BTW: plenumn wont do bollocks all for power unless your pushing 300 + rwkw...

every1 says every1 has NFI tho.... i dont know who to listen to lol.

i want to eventually get a bigger turbo so i figured to save money in the long run and remap after remap to just get an after market ECU now and save my self the trouble.

injectors and ECU will help me get that power eventually tho... i was gonna get a new pump soon anyways.

i wanna see exactly how much i can get out of the RB20!

i know the plenum wont help simon but its sure as hell looks better :(

*EDIT*

*holds nuts*

seriously dont get a plenum, stock plenums aren't bad at all.

Get a bosch 040 pump, ive heard nothing but great feedback about jeff, an rb20 remap will cost next to nothing in comparison to an aftermarket ecu, which isn't totally necessary as a REMAP is probably better anyways. I'd expect once you get a remap and a pump, assuming your motor is healthy id say a ball park figure of 190odd-200 on 1 bar.

it's quite simple! boostworx or speed lab! everone here recommends them but "i know a guy" so i don't use them! but if i had to i wouldn't go anywhere else

btw, isn't the r33 s2 turbo more weaker than the s1? because it's got a nylon wheel or something? i'm not sure

My car, with the same setup as yours, just with a walbro pump, made 178-180 on 8psi.

Chuck a pump in there get Jeff/Shaun to remap the ECU and see what you can get.

Want more? Put a reg on and get a bit more out of the injectors.

More after that? Well, then it starts getting expensive. Anything after that and you're also starting to sacrifice gearbox reliability.

i want to eventually get a bigger turbo so i figured to save money in the long run and remap after remap to just get an after market ECU now and save my self the trouble.

This doesnt make much sense to me

A a/m ecu is in essence just remap in a different case and may have some other options.

and after any engine mods you really *should* get a remap/retune just to make sure

also

Go see Jeff

He is very good.

    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
