Rear Strut Bar Removal? Help Please

Hi Guys,

I got these pretty cool cub boxes made up for me but my problem is I need to remove the rear strut brace in order to slide them in! The car is an R33 GTST with a stock rear strut brace.

I am not sure if the brace is under any compression strain so thats why i didn't attempt the removal of it yet. What is the correct method of removal? I noticed the centre thread there. I did not want to muck around with it in case it buggered up the current suspension setup?

The centre thread is to undo the tension on the bar. Then you can simply undo the nuts on the strut top and remove the bar. It won't upset any suspension settings.

Ok, what about putting it back to where it was? Just tighten it as tight as possible or does that nut have to be exactly where it was originally on the thread?
