Hey guys, just thought I'd let you know my car is finally up for sale. If you know anyone looking for a cheap modded manual Stagea, point them here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/19...-M-t209261.html

I'm starting at $18,000, but if it takes too long to sell I'll start dropping it.

The car needs someone who can afford to give it some TLC, as with a new baby and looking at buying a house my funds are severly limited.

Cheers,

Leshy

Well good luck with the sale. There are so many for sale these days.

Not so many manual dual sunrooves with leather though I think.. :)

Sorry Nick, change is a sign of progress though. No doubt I'll get another stagea (M35 me thinks) in a few years, just have to get a house first and settle down.

good luck with the sale :D i actually believe it might be the icing on the cake so to speak...so many people want manuals and leather interiors so you might just be in luck :nyaanyaa: I dont think youll have a problem selling...its seems that some stageas are hanging around for ages to sell and some that have only been advertised for a few weeks or a month are getting snapped up. Strange!!

Good luck :D

Youve just gotta have what they want i guess. I think 18k is a decent asking price for what the car is. Luxury cruiser, thats been tastefully modded to handle very well and make decent power. High kms, but doesnt mean much in the grand scheme of things.

On a different subject - got those taillights leshy. Cheers. Trader rating +1

Thanks mate, i try my best :D

I'll be open to offers, but as you can see, I haven't gone overboard with mods, and a lot of them are useful. the tow bar has come in handy heaps, and the manual has increased my fuel efficiency a fair bit. I'm averaging 12L/100km combined driving now. I'm sad to see her go, but i'm having trouble keeping her in a good condition. I'd rather sell now than completely wreck it before someone else can take care of it.

sad to hear :)

its VERY difficult to price stageas in today's market.

I completely understand your reasons though. Mine is also for sale due to cost reasons, they just cost a little bit more to keep on the road compared to say aussie cars.

The stagea's been a fantastic "sports" wagon to own and drive but the budget is important and I've kind of had my fun with the car and am ready to move on.

Life priorities seem to catch up with all of us hey...in one way or another.

Well good luck with the sale. There are so many for sale these days.

Pretty much the reason l'm keeping mine.

Looked at getting a CRX/civic (not del-sol crx either) to drive around in while saving for a house, but with so many stagea's for sale, chances of me selling and making it worth it isn't worth the time.

I need someone to just hit my car enough to write it off ... its well and truly over-insured.

Gotta say l like the kit you have, subtle yet enough there to add a bit flair.

Think mine's gonna come off soon and just drive it stock for a while.

I sold mine for 17,000 drive away with everything. Though, I had no leather and was auto.

Although this doesnt have the suspension or wheels of mine it is manual. Big +ve for many. I think it shouldn't sell for less than 16-17.

Good luck, I understand.

Oh yeah, now I see the coilovers and all that. I had the whole SK group buy kit, but I am certain now re-reading this that they would be very on par.

I must have skipped over it as its not divided into sections (Engine/Box, Suspension, Body etc). Maybe make it like that to be a bit easier to read?

they dont sell quick

my Vr V8 ex cop 118000kms 215kw took over 6months to sell, for only 7k (wanted 11k originally)

my fully sicko CBR took over 6months as well, of proper advertising (paid) and sold for under 8k (wanted 12)

hold it and dont drop too much, no point in giving it away

advertise where you can (ebay, carpoint, etc), just that I dont think they sell quick unless they are "eagerly priced" ie 9k

    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
    • 310mm rotors will be avilable from Australia, Japan, and probably a few other places. Nothing for the front can be put on the back.
    • The filter only filters down to a specific size. Add to that, the filter is AFTER the pump. So it means everything starts breaking your pump even if its being filtered out.
