Evo: Im not going to lie but yes it is laggy. Boost comes in at 4k and it revs out too 8k. Im happy with this set up as the car is driven every day. Then again each to there own. I more after 1/4mile performance and top end performance.

What compressor and exhaust housing are you running? Would be interesting to knwo in regards to turbo response vs top end power.

Freebaggin: not sure on the housing specs. I will find out on friday. In regards to turbo response, its very responsive. As soon as the car hits 4k rpm or if your drop back a gear and plant it while its in the 4k - 8k range its on boost straight away. Theres no waiting. But coming onto boost, it is a bit laggy. Below 3k its pretty doughy but at 3 it starts spooling at 4k hold on.

Yeah i have. From Rb30 bottom end to RB25 bottom end forged pistons, rods, etc.

for the price difference of a 38 to 50mm wastegate i would folk out the extra $$.

depends on the exhaust housing.bigger 106 housing obviously doesnt need a gate as large as it would with a smaller housing

So why the change from the RB30 to the RB25?

to make the most of a GT35, you'd really need to be running an RB25/30

They are a wicked combination when put together.

The 2.5ltr bottom end just wont do the turbo justice, for a 2.5ltr, the GT30 is a lot better
