Anyway guys hope to see you all at the beach for some photos for our Website... we are trying to get a big group together so that it looks like Rocky actually has some cars as compared to the 4x4 town it is made out to be... I think most people south of Noosa are generally suprised we have Sealed roads up here...

Anyway it should be a good cruise...

and Garth you better get some good photo's and video of the moto. Just we are keen but unorganised... so you will have to make up for our downfall...

And if you can organise one in Gracemere just a bit cheaper I promise you that you will have at least Garage Spanks support with vehicles and a mass of interest...

Have fun man... and keep that Laser away from the mud...

See you all at Shopping Fair 1 o'clock...

Yeah but the problem with that car is that he has bad blowby and the dipstick has to be held in with a piece of tape. POS!:upurs:

that is true... however do you also know that Nismo was running around free boosting his car... ie... didn't have the actuator hooked up... he knew this... it's just his car went well... we finally talked him into fixing it... and the old girl is still going...

That car has had the hardest life of any skyline I know... there is no way that you can possibly say that it hasn't been a reliable motor for the things that it has had done to it...

I still promise you that it will destroy a stock R32 skyline...

and it's too bad that guys aren't keen on the beach run... oh well your loss... I suppose nothing beats sitting at home on a Sunday...

Actually talking of Sundays... 31.8.03 is the SR20 Dorift meet...

anyone going for a drive... I definatly am... can't wait... I got my cooler on order, got my no. plates, in the process of getting excited about ordering the bits for my plug'n'play microtech Lt-8... I found out using a few cheap suppliers I can build my own plug for... um, about $10... how can shops warrent charging so much for them?? I guess there is a bit of labour in building the first one... but after that anyone... and I mean almost anyone... could build it over and over to make some cash...

But I guess that is why they make money and I still work as a Apprentice Electrician...

And actually if your headed down for the Sunday Dorifto... why not get excited and come down on the Saturday, there are clubsprints on... and it looks like an absolute blast... If I enter my car in anything it will be the club sprints... it just looks so fun... racing other cars on a safe race track... hitting speed cut down a long back straight... generally enjoying driving hard with no fear of police or what is around the next corner... heck I'm talking myself into it...

I know us Spank boys are working hard to get a neat little crew together... anyone else organising any trips lately?

Actually Squizz I was going to talk to you about having another BBQ soon too... it's been a long time... and I know Rick is itching for a feed... that man is hungry (said in 2 fast 2 furious tone)...

anyway we should be able to organise it soon... maybe a thursday night after work BBQ and then giant cruise... we could try our hardest to take over the lap from all the commodores...

I could even try to find out off JC wiether there will be a blitz on vehicles or not that thursday...

And finally my respect goes out to one of the GTR's leaving... it's a shame but I am sure we shall cruise together again in the future... maybe even the end of this month... anyway Willo, thanks for cruising with us, it has made the beach runs and thursdays exciting and fun... keep on boostn...

and to the rest of you Jokers... catch ya soon

stay safe...

don't you mean keep on bostn dan......

Yeah sorry to see willo go..I was hoping to have an 'official' shot at him in current trim with a good clutch as it would be very interesting. Oh well I hope he runs it at some stage before he goes ballistic and lets us know what he gets.

By the way the Mackay 4wd dyno shop is up and running and I am trying to organise some sort of deal for a couple of cars.

Nuthin' wrong with Free Boostin' I didn't have my Ext. Wastegate on... Pushin' ??psi out of the HKS big boy and lovin' it.

But sadly that ended a month ago... refer previous post.

P.S. it blew up after i finally put the wastegate on

How did the cruise go to the beach? im guessing everyone is at the parilla still so prolly no point asking yet. Was planning on coming for the run, but it turned out to be a busy afternoon between watching the mirage cup on sbs and installing a fully custom set of air horns to big wadeo's cruiser.

hey everyone sorry about my previous post i ve been told a lot of things by a lot of people so yeah i would like to start everything out fresh again if dan wants to call me a wanker behind my back according to mat and ive seen the messages he must have thought he had reason but i would like to know why

    • Yeah well per the video it took 15s for the stock unit to start up....even if I give it a few seconds discount for starting that is at least 12 sec before you get a reverse camera if you are trying to leave a park.  The android unit is way faster, but 2016 for the stock unit is a long time ago in consumer electronics
    • Yea that’s why I said ima test them with multimeter and see the reads.
    • Only at idle. Isn’t a problem when rev it seems.
    • @Haggerty This seems silly to ask, but are you confident in your ability to tune the Haltech?
    • Next on the to-do list was an oil and filter change. Nothing exciting to add here except the oil filter is in a really stupid place (facing the engine mount/subframe/steering rack). GReddy do a relocation kit which puts it towards the gearbox, I would have preferred towards the front but there's obviously a lot more stuff there. Something I'll have to look at for the next service perhaps. First time using Valvoline oil, although I can't see it being any different to most other brands Nice... The oil filter location... At least the subframe wont rust any time soon I picked up a genuine fuel filter, this is part of the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank. Access can be found underneath the rear seat, you'll see this triangular cover Remove the 3x plastic 10mm nuts and lift the cover up, pushing the rubber grommet through The yellow fuel line clips push out in opposite directions, remove these completely. The two moulded fuel lines can now pull upwards to disconnect, along with the wire electrical plug. There's 8x 8mm bolts that secure the black retaining ring. The fuel pump assembly is now ready to lift out. Be mindful of the fuel hose on the side, the hose clamp on mine was catching the hose preventing it from lifting up The fuel pump/filter has an upper and lower section held on by 4 pressure clips. These did take a little bit of force, it sounded like the plastic tabs were going to break but they didn't (don't worry!) The lower section helps mount the fuel pump, there's a circular rubber gasket/grommet/seal thing on the bottom where the sock is. Undo the hose clip on the short fuel hose on the side to disconnect it from the 3 way distribution pipe to be able to lift the upper half away. Don't forget to unplug the fuel pump too! There's a few rubber O rings that will need transferring to the new filter housing, I show these in the video at the bottom of this write up. Reassembly is the reverse Here's a photo of the new filter installed, you'll be able to see where the tabs are more clearing against the yellow OEM plastic Once the assembly is re-installed, I turned the engine over a few times to help build up fuel pressure. I did panic when the car stopped turning over but I could hear the fuel pump making a noise. It eventually started and has been fine since. Found my 'lucky' coin underneath the rear seat too The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLJ65pmQt44&t=6s
