i doubt there would be a tutorial because tuning a rb20det into a rb20de isnt a common thing to do

it would be much easier to sell what you have and get the na version, but for what ever reason you have to do it then your going to have a slow na rb20

Just rip the turbo off, get appropriate sized bolts and plug up the coolant and oil feeds on the block that use to feed the turbo, then get a na exhaust manfold and then connect that to the rest of your exhaust system.

Then from the inlet manifold get some pipe to go over the engine to the passenger side of the enginebay, connect you afm upto it and then it should be done.

I would adjust you cas and put some more igntion timing into it to regain some sort of performance.

Its going to be slow and bad on fuel for the perfomance you get.

its a lot of work and money for a stupid result

i know chi is selling an n/a rb25de engine for $500 with intake plenum and headers

would be much cheaper as you need to replace the pistons and gasket to bring the compression up on the det engine

and it would need to be tuned.. just not a good idea

I was looking too to do this to my RB20DET.

What you need is:

N/A exhaust manifold

NA ECU

NA Intake pip (without BOV)

NA intake box

Block oil and coolent lines to turbo from block

Remove SMIC

And I think you also need to play around with the ECU loom aswell :D

This could cost you anywhere up to $500 in parts + Labour or time

Then your cars compression ratio is very low due to to it being set up for a turbo..

Your going to have a low comp. NA 2L. Not pretty. To change this you need to change over pistons..

Put simply.. not worth it.

As said above.. Buy yourself an RB25DE ECU + Loom. Youc an find some pretty good example at a fair price. Then you could always go back to turbo with a 2.5L..

Or drop in a VQ35DE :ninja:

find someone with an RB20det that wants to turbo it, and do a swap with cash YOUR way. You get ur engine, they get theres, you get enough cash to fund the mechanic to do the swap.

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
