Speed also did one when they did an R32 GT-R buyer's guide (6pages) in issue 3 last year... If you like i could mail you a copy (we've got s--t loads here). And Julian Edgar doesn't know s--t from clay. He reckons the GT-R is one of the worst handling cars he's driven as his R32 oversteered quite a bit. Couldn't have had anything to do with his excessive heavy foot could it? He also sang the praises of Mitsubishi Ralliart Magna and the sporty Verada Ltd edition. 'Nuff said. :)

Julian Edgar>:)

I remember when he just about made himself bankrupt by buying an R32 GT-R that he couldn't afford, then ****ed up the ATTESA by making some cheap "interceptor" cicuit, then proceeded to wrap it around a tree... :D

1) Stop writing as if other journos know nothing and are inferior to his opinionated prose that he spouts on AutoSpeed.

2) Stop touching kiddies.

AMEN...

my first check for an r33 gt-r are the rear flared guards. i dunno why anyone would bother having their gts / gts-t rear guards flared.

Even then there are a few out there that have the guards welded in.. and occasionally you'll see it in the Japanese auction lists. I mean its possible to do a full conversion, but it will cost you more than a GTR in the first place.

So in reality, if somebody wanted to fake one, it would be possible but cost a lot damn lot of money.

I'd say just the BNR32 on the firewall plate should be all u need to know, other than the obvious signs (RB26DETT, 4WD).

Other than that I guess the same checks you'd do on any other turbo car..cylinder compression level, turbos are holding boost, no strange oil leaks, not blowing too much smoke under boost, full lock turns don't make strange noises, and just in general strange noises.
