Anyone know where a good place to look for celica parts is?

I'm after front quarters, some kind of lip for the front bottom bar, 2 new driving lights and a bit of misc.

have signed up to a few celica forums, and they just say check ebay

there has to be someone who makes aftermarket parts or specifically deals in ta22 celica's

any suggestions would be awesome

PLENTY of people wrecking TA22's on toymods.net. You're gonna be pretty safe buying off there. Forum needs ALL your details (address, full name, etc) before you can register. Can't view threads without signing up.

Good luck!

Ah ok, i did sign up there yesterday but haven't been aproved yet (i signed on ozcelica about 2 weeks ago and cant post yet either ><)

Heres a pic.. was a $900 car, engines sweet, interiors nice exterior has some dings but a respray and it'll look mickey

nice car, never knew about the old first gen celicas until a friend bought one, i got hooked and bought myself an ra28

I signed up for ozcelica and toymods at the same time (mid feb this year), toymods took 3 weeks to validate and still waiting on ozcelica...

i can see you are in vic. Sleekaspares in adelaide was the place i went to for parts. They should have what youre looking for.

I had 2 TA22's and a RA23. Also worked on 2 2TG's. One had the T18 bottom end, so more torque. Great little motor, 40mil webber carbs, nice induction.

I dont know if youre keen on getting parts shipped interstate but its an option.

My brother had a thing for these cars a while ago, and you can see why... This is his old car that his mate wrote off...

There are still a few parts lieing around if your willing to buy... couple of headlight and suspension bits if I remember correctly... and a 1GGZE and a massive 24psi supercharger...

Old charger

New charger

Eventually he went to a twin turbo set up... Then his mate parked it up the arse of a Mirage...

I think with the twin turbo set up, it was making over 220rwkw... that was insane in such a light car...

The charger engine sounded so SO much better though... it was just LOUD zorst noise, rumbled like a bitch! The turbos sounded like some car out of fast and furius...

bah, dam nice 22 up there, same reason only 1 other person on one occasion has ever driven my skyline in the last 2 years i've owned it. Its not that i don't trust my friends i just dont trust everyone else on the road. Better safe then sorry.

What kind of condition is the 1ggze in?

might as well chuck a picture of mine up :D

aerial and indicators fixed now, pic from when i bought it

damn nice celica's, hopefully mine will eventually end up looking that good, going to be soft and leave the engine stock though, might put a slightly bigger carby on it (idk if mines wrecked or what but atm you don't get any more power from 3.5krpm and up, it's faster to change gears at 3.5 heh) thats about it, has some extractors so sounds alright.. but who knows, at the moment i wanna use this as a daily, get rid of the gtr and get a bike.

i checked that sleeka spares site out but none of the parts catalogues loads for me, will call them later, looks like a good bet as they specialise in them

thx for the info

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
