Well after 6 long months of trying to fix the shitter it finally goes again. I picked it up last saturday and couldnt be happier. I believe its the first Autronic fitted V35 or 350Z in the country. As autronic and my tuner have been writing the software for it as they went. A huge thanks to Matt Spry for his efforts in making the computer work and tuning the the car faultlessly. It made a 172rwkw and i believe it goes alot better then it used although the last time i drove it was 6 months ago.

There are still a few problems, im pretty sure the BCM is stuffed ornot happy with something as it sounds the horn randomly during the day still when parked at work. And the only other thing is that the standard computer is still running the fly by wire throttle, on initial throttle lift off it seems to snap the throttle blade completely shut causing a momentary compression braking effect. We're currently looking into ways around it, but atm im leaning towards a throttle cable and my spare VH45 throttle body.

Overall im stoked, i forgot what a pleasure the thing was to drive and am glad that the major problem is at least sorted. At least i have sort of pathed the way for those that may want to fir there cars with autronic ecu's. Apart from the throttle problem you wouldnt know the ecu wasnt factory.

Cheers

John

Thanks mate,

Havent been on here much, back studying full time and working full time doesnt amount to much of a social life anymore. But its only for another 2 years and then it will be happy cruising. Saving hard to do a brake upgrade semi slicks and bucket seats. Going to rid it of the back seats and sound deadening and all things heavy, as its only a weekend car im going to have a bit of a ciruit focus, may even stick a roll cage in it depending on how ambitious i get.

    • That's one of the reasons I got that breed, they look weird, the other reasons are they small, they are very vocal, and run around like they are on crack, I didn't want a breed that just sits around, these two are like kids on red cordial  My daughter has one, and it's a laugh riot, constantly doing Parkour around the house, sits on her shoulder, plays catch, and constantly runs around the house taking turns chasing the dog around, her Bermese though, just lays around with constant bitch face, and just looks on in utter disgust at the cat and dog playing together

    • It's all about the socialisation of the dogs. In that first 8 to 16 weeks of age they need to be taught to be nice and friendly with everything. That way they generalise it to everything. That said, some days you'll just never beat genetics, but 99% of the time dogs chasing cats is purely lack of socialisation, and then the chasing part can turn into prey drive.
