Be involved in a real race team! Pit crew volunteers needed!

Actually, it was a great race, after a slick pitstop I came out second, but then about 10 min later I had a long off-road excursion when a commonwhore pulled out of the pits into my racing line.

When I got back on track I was in 6th, which I held until about 5min from the end of the race - when the gearbox mounting snapped causing the engine to fall out ;)

Still it was a great weekend of racing!

so were you 46 or 47 ? was there but didn't get a chance to see much of the daewoo race, bit harsh that you guys had a combined race!

you've got the purple S2 i guess, i only saw 1 other skyline there it was a black R32! like the wheels, and TYRES!! how long do they last you normally?

i had a shocker of a day, was leaving in the after noon and a person with a trailor drove past my car and caugh the door (it was open) pulling it way past were it opens, destroying the front guard and door, as well as needing the chasis straightened near the hinges etc! atleast i had it after the respray for 2 days. not happy jan.

did you finish the race, or did you have to retire?

door= suxors :(

Nah, I had to retire and watch the ending from the pits. I was in 47, but actually 46 also broke engine mountings (much earlier, about 15 min into the race) we were the only 2 daewoos which retired which was a pretty good finishing ratio.

The race was a bit of a nightmare with the other cars, I mean a bit of traffic was OK, but we had these slow cornering commodores, falcons, gtrs etc all the time. I only got hit by one, but a few other 'woo drivers were less lucky :P In fact it was an idiot in a commodore pulling out of the pits right in front of me and then cornering way too slowly that lead to me off-road excursion....

Yeah, the blue 33 was mine, and the cheater tyres don't normally live on there but I'm too lavy to take em off sicne we're going back to Eastern Creek next Thur lol.

    • So I'm going to have to keep ignoring the 4.7 update, or whatever version it is? Poop. I was hoping you'd put me out of my misery.
    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
    • Quite right, if you make it to that pension you deserve every cent
