I'm pretty sure they are all slightly different. Why do you ask? 9 mins after you sign up :D . Welcome to Skylines Australia mate.

Yeah, the question was the reason I joined.

Reason I ask is because the R34 front seats and seat rails are a very easy fit into some older Falcons (exact same width, just cut and weld the end mounts) - looking for a replacment set of seats for the front of my supercharged EF XR6 - the Skyline seats would be cheap to buy, sporty type seat while still matching the factory interior somewhat, and they're thinner and lower than the factory Falcon seats meaning more interior space.

It would be easier to find a pair with the rails if the older Skylines and other Nissans etc. were the same as they'd be more options.

Yeh, I though so :D . Nah, I'm pretty sure they are all slightly different, but can be modified slightly to fit. And while your here, why not convert to the dark side of Jap Imports? :O

I'd have a Skyline in a second if they came in wagons, could tow my boat, fit 5 people (adults) in it (comfortably for a 200km trip) and a bootful of what nots. There's no doubting it that they're good cars, good bang for buck. But the Falcon just has the practicality at the moment.

Stagea... google it

Here is a link to a comprehensive seat compatibility thread between silvias/skylines/cefiros...

Although it claims the R34 rails are 100% compatible, i have noticed that bride list the r34 rails with a different part number so i wouldn't count on it.

Cheers for that Howie. Even if there is some difference, that kind of indicates that R32/3/4 are all very similiair, which is fine since I had to do some choping and welding on the rails already to fit them into the Falcoon.

I guess my next question is what is the differences like between the front seats of the R32/3/4? I.e. in styling and comfort? Is there variences between the different models to (i.e. GTR and GTS?)? Just wondering if there's 1 in particular that I should look for. The actual patern and material is of no concern to me as I've got to recover them to match the back seats anyhow.

That site also indicates that Silvia seats are also very similiar in the seat rails. Any idea what these are like compared to the Skyline seats?

Thanks for the info so far guys.

P.S. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Stagea - doesn't look bad. I bet they're a lot harder to find than my Coon and prolly a lot dearer too!

Slightly, however you get money back for the Stag! And I've worked on many, many, many, many falcons, and my skyline. Skylines don't piss oil

Personally I've sat in an R33, R34 and S13. I'd say the R34 is the most comfortable.

Seats

These are out of an R32 GTR:

No good to me as I specifically want removable headrests - hence why I'm looking at factory seats as it's hard to find aftermarket sports seats with removable headrests.

They look good - nice big side peices.

    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
