Hi Guys

The fan that blows air outta the aircon/vents has stopped working I have done a search and as a result have check all the relivient fuses (2 20 amp in the fuse box inside the car and a 45 in the boot) which are find but to fan/blower still does not work. Given the variable speed of the fan I think it maybe relay related does anybody have a relay layout for a Series 1 R33? I think it maybe one of the 4 relays inside the car but really I have no idea.

Thanks

Fiddy

I had the same problem a couple of month ago, turned out to be a failed motor.

Bought a second hand fan\motor and used it work out what was at fault.

It was a 20 minute job to fit. It fits from underneath the glovebox, you do need to remove the passenger kick panel and engine ECU for access.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but didnt want to start a new one

I had the same problem on my 32, replaced the motor and it works now, but only on the the highest power setting, on 1, 2 and 3 it wont work. Is this the relay? cause I'm assuming it is ... any idea where they are located?

cheers

Hi everyone

My fan stopped working, i checked all fuses and tested the actual fan, they all work. Is there a relay or switch somewhere between the control unit and fan? Also the little flaps that control air flow to feet, refresh etc don't work. What's up with it? Could anyone please help?

    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
