Hey Guys,

How come there arent many if any Eclipses in Australia? i know they r in the USA and they werent launched in Aus but how come no one imports them? Any particular reason?

Because they cost of converting them isn't worth it? Because even the americans think they're lacklustre cars.

The same reason nobody imports any american car (<30 years).

Fair point, so you cant import one direct from Mitsubishi? with the wheel on the right side of the car

The way I see it,

the Eclipse GSX: AWD model equipped with a 210 hp (160 kW) turbocharged 2.0 L 16-valve DOHC Mitsubishi 4G63 engine was the only decent one.

The later models, I guess for what it is, was OK but not a fan of FWD.

Also, Iam not to sure how much it is to import one in but if the cost all add up with doing the Left hand to Right hand drive covnersion, I would happily go for an EVO IX or EVO X.

well considering left hand drive has become legal since what i have heard in the past few years....

im not sure.my dad owned a 59 corvette a few years back and he told me that there are alot of left hand drive cars out htere.

i looooooooooove the green eclipse from F&F. AWD turbo. very nice car. the one in 2F2F is gay. front wheel drive v6 ....just shit(alright on the vw vr6 but not a long ugly car)

and i dont know why they would make the 2nd main car in 2f2f another eclpise but newer model. it could have been something different...plenty of cars i could think of.....

There are many better all wheel drive turbo cars and they are in Aus and RHD....

But then again if you did get one it would be unique. I have never seen one on the road here, they arent for me but I can understand why someone might want one. But if you did get one would you do it up like the one on F&F? With the OTT spoilers, kit and vinlys??

Apparently its connecting to the first one again. It'll have Vin Diesel in it again. so yea, we'll see how its gonna turn out....

I've often seen them for sale in Japan too (in LHD). Not sure if they were sold direct by mitsu though. All the ones I've seen have been auto.
