Hey all,

I have spoken to a few people about running 15'' Drag rims on my GT-R R32.....they have all said its a hard process to get the right offset! I have seen many drag GT-R's running 15'' rims so its not impossible...

Is there anyone out there that can help me out here? is it possible to order the Drag rims with the offset i require? saving me the hassle of trial and error? If anyone has been through the convertion i would love to hear what you gotta say

I honestly dont know much about this subject as you can tell...I really need some help here!

Any ideas?

As long as your are prepared to put on spacers there should be no probs. They are illegal however

R32 GTR is a +30offset if that helps

You should be able go stock R32 GTST rims with a spacer (if u want cheap)

Its for a Drag GT-R so wanna run the 15'' rims

others?

sorry for my inexperience on the subject of drag, but do the rims need to be anything special to be a drag rim? as in are they typically made different from a normal road or circuit wheel?

as far as getting some wheels, most decent jap wheel manufacturers would make a 15x8-10ish (not sure what tyre u intend on running) as far as offset goes, a +30 should be alright, depending on the size of the tyre u intend on running, id be slightly worried about the tie rod end for the HICAS at the rear and the clearance there with a bigger wheel/tyre. but the most important part is disk type, you need to make sure (especially for the front) that u get a high disk, this will clear the calipers. as far as disk diametre goes, well i think a 15" at the front would be pushing it, but if uve seen others get away with it on stock disks then should be fine, just make sure u order a high disk and it should clear ur calipers. the main issue with most 15" wheels is they are made for cars with pretty much always have tiny brakes, so they often are a low disk and dont have much caliper clearance.

Hey nisskid Does this mean if i buy a 15 ''drag rim that has a offset off between 0 and +10 all i have to do is run spacer plates to make it around +30?

about the brakes if i come across fitment problems i will run smaller brakes etc...

nah, it actually works the other way, spacers will reduce your offset, for instance a +20 offset with a 30mm spacer will make the offset effectively -10 offset. theres a few types of spacers, theres floating (slip on) spacers which just sit over the studs, these are usually used for <10mm applications as it reduces the usable length of the stud. then theres a bolt on spacer, these are usually >20mm, this would be ur best bet, finding a high offset wheel is easy as piss, especially with a 15" wheel, so you could get say a +45 (common offset) wheel and put a 25mm bolt on spacer making it around +20, then at least you dont have to worry about disk type etc as u know there will be probably be at least around 40mm of brake clearance, which should be enough for GTR calipers.

What size slicks do you want to run? That will determine the width of the wheel and then the offset required. The only issue with 15" wheels might be the brake clearance. Some wheel manufacturers can overcome this with different dish designs.

You need 5.5" backspace 15x8" with 26 or 28 x 11.5 x 15 Mickey Thompson Et Street

Rear gtr r32 brakes isn't problem but the front sure it is big problem with 15"! You must use front brakes from 180sx S13 with redrilled disks

f**k thats a scary thought lol

The owner have it for DRAG use!!

The brakes from s13 fits with only a redrill on the discs because s13 is 4x114.3 and skyline 5x114.3, there are two generations.. 280mm and 256mm both will fit in 15" wheels easy!! But maybe you will need s13 rear brakes too to keep the right brake bias! For drag use you will not have any problem!! :/ Also they are lighter ;)

    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
