thats what i've been told?? by the manufacturers of these plenums eg subzero, micks metalcraft and mr enforcer..... they don't have the features to accomodate climate controll etc.. cauz they also use larger throttle bodies aswell which arn't nissan, some manufacturers jus say these plenums are for race applications y would u want climate controllwith a car that modified, i don't know bout the greddy plenum though??

GTS-t VSPEC , did the GReddy Plennum come with everything required ?

Did you use the factory throttle body ? I have and XF Throttle Body - will that fit the GReddy do you think ? or will I require an adaptor ?

How did the throttle cable go ? Did you need to replace or does the factory one work ?

Can you use top feed injectors ?

Are there any gotcha's with these or pretty straight forward ?

Thanks dude

:P

B-Man,

You can use the factory or XF throttle bodies, but they will require an adapter. The only throttle body that bolts straight on is the Infiniti.

Yes, can run top feed fuel rail and injectors, but I still have the side feed in.

We managed to retain the factory throttle cable, but has since been replaced for better mounting.

Other than that it's pretty straight forward, just takes time to get to the bolts:D

B-Man, just another note that may help you, Greddy actually have an adapter you can buy for about 100 bucks through greenline that allows you to run the factory throttle. I believe the factory throttle is good for at least 400hp or so... but you may want to go to a 90mm or something - sub zero have them i believe.

We do a R33 RB25det intake here, its not just a top 1/2, it has equal length trumpets, retains all the idle controlers, can run side feed injectors or with a kit, run up to 1700cc top feed injectors, can be made to run a Q45 throttle body or one of our RB25 throttle bodys thats been taken out to the same size as a XF, so you keep all your original tps plugs etc. We supply a throttle cable with it. They can be polished or powder coated. Price with manifold, enlarged RB25 throttle body (as per photo) and throttle cable is NZ$1500, thats not polished or painted. Regards Rob.

    • Am I correct in assuming that the R35's are getting the classic skyline haircut off the odometer?  Quick search on carsales, there are 33 08 and 09 GTR's for sale, only 2 of them have more then 100,000km's on them (116,075 and 110,000 respectively).  And somehow there are about 25 for sale with around 60,000kms? Looks like the classic skyline haircut to me =/
    • @Stringycheese  Have you only gone to the one blue slip workshop?  There will be a heap of them where ever you live, good odds that the next place you go to will pass the car.  Unfortunately (or fortunately?) every blue slip / engineering workshop will be different and will be happy passing or failing different things - despite working from the same set of rules. It's kinda like 2 lawyers arguing over a piece of legislation, each saying their interpretation is correct. Might seem strange that this happens when it comes to getting a modified car passed, but this is very much a thing. A big part of the game is finding an engineer / workshop that is on the same page as you.
    • Bah. I daily mine. ~60km per work day, 10-12 thousand km per year. What's the point of having a dirty old Datto and leaving it in the shed. It needs to be driven and enjoyed while the govco allows us to do so. It will only be a few years before we're forbidden to even start up internal combustion engines.
    • Judging by that spring perch and the normal looking spring on it - not a coilover. Well.... it is a coilover, just a stock format coilover, rather than what everyone calls a coilover.
    • Yes it is. We get stock from Nismo directly. I'm happy to take photos/video of it as proof before I ship it with timestamps or whathaveyou.
