ok here goes, mechanic added a thing that adds on to the air sensor (i think it is) when it was on we turned the car on and it obviously started, anyway when we revved it a bit the sensor wasnt sensing the air ratio and the car started to make blow off noises from the air filter and was occasionally blowing some air out of the BOV (thank god we didnt test drive it) anyway we turned the car off and disconnected it and put it all back to how it was before he touched it...

now the F*N thing wont start, it cranks but wont kick over at all, we even pushed it down a hill it wouldnt even jump start...

ok now heres my question, is there some sort of relay or fuse the car could have blown? is it the computer thats fried? any info i would appreciate, it only happened yesterday and shes only been in the driveway for a day and its sending me insane!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

ok now that was the prior post, now for todays question we replaced the airflow metre and the car is now kicking over but refuses to rev up over 2500 rpm its like its bouncing back, the car still seems like something is limiting it and it sounds like shit the air filter still sounds like a BOV and the BOV isnt getting a fair share at all

so wats next ??? the computer???? or is there a fuse or relay somewhere else we can test....???

as i said in the previous post, i think you ignored it

the factory ECU has a rev cut at 2500rpm if the AFM signal is toast or not present

so either the AFM signal wire is still cut or perhaps its damaged / disconnected

as a result, the ECU cannot detect airflow signal so it does a rev cut at 2500rpm to protect the engine

until you restore the AFM signal, it wont rev past 2500rpm. so first things first, get your hack mechanic to do a wire trace and check where the AFM signal goes

make sure it runs to the correct wire on the wiring loom, my website has RB25det wiring diagram so you can check the corresponding wire #

if the wire is in tact and connected fine then i would suggest trying another stock ecu or checking for damaged / burnt tracks on the stock ecu

Thanks for that... my bf looked at the wires and it looks like something sus is going on, there are 2 wires in the sheath and 1 separate leading off the AFM he thought it looked like it was either an earth, another mate said it could be a wire to connect with the computer. the 2 wires are are just twisted on each other and taped and havent been connected very well however this looks like something that was done a while ago and not recently... is that the standard thing with them?
