You want to drift like everyone else...just get a highflow...

Haha that's awesome i don't know if it was your intention but you make it sound like you frown upon all the wannabe drifters. If you are building your car for drifting tho i wouldnt reccomend a t04z even with the smallest housing. Unless you plan on pumping the shit out of your clutch drifting needs response and mid range torque to get the wheels spinning. Once there spinning it takes bugger all power at high rpm to keep them spinning.

Lolz...glad to see someones picked up on it...

Back to the topic...like i said...if you want to drift like everyone else...don't even go the gt35...and 740cc injectors are overkill as well if you aren't pushing big numbers...

Why go through all that trouble to change housings...even if it can be done...

You want to drift like everyone else...just get a highflow...it will make enough power and keep you happy...

hmmmm..... the thing is i dont want to make enough power.. i wanna make plenty of it... i have a t04e garrett on it now... and it should make around 250rwkw after injectors and so forth... but themax torque is at like 4600rpm... i found a place that u can buy the t04z for the same price with the exaust housings changed.... so therefor higher power...less lag.... things like camshafts should increase spool time and putting an rb30 bottom end... now im gettin out of my league...lol...

Highflow, best responce pumps out 250rwkw and your laughing

Will be able to pump about 280 out at max.. wack in cams, injectors fuel pump and a oil cooler for good measure and your laughing find a cheap one in the FS section and then get it checked out, new seals etc and ur ready for tyre spinning fun

Or you can buy a big ass turbo and wack in a tiny housing .. woot

Well its generally determined by cost.

GT35 = rebuild plus a lot of other stuff, 15k i reckon is a good number to match with 350rwkw.

GT-RS, bolt on, still within the motor limit and good response... less than half the GT35 route too

It wont look as flash though as its not a big donky cover like the t04e probably has on it (.7AR front), but will do the job a fair portion better.

More research as i said in another post.

T04Z is a 800-850HP turbo, bigger again than a GT35 (which i said a conservative 350rwkw).

Your talking 450rwkw+++ with a T04Z

I honestly thing you haven't taken anyones advice and researched.

If you simply put "T04Z" into the search feature you'd easily have worked out its an even sillier choice than the GT35

ok!!!..... farkin hell... instead of me suggesting random turboz.... can sumone suggest a turbo for drift that will make a large number of power... i wanna see other opinions rather than my own...

in my opinion i wouldnt do shit to ur 33 at all

id sell it and get and s15, if u want to drift do it a car that is made for drifting not the big boaty 33.

i sold my gtr and im looking for an s15 atm purely for drift, way cheaper to mod, newer and better car, imo

if u wanna really keep the 33 get a gt-rs turbo and some boost and that should do u some decent enough power. no point have haps of power with a to4z if it doesnt spool quickly, drift is all about response.

my 2c

Have a look in the Dyno results thread.

Anything from 200-250rwkw will be the power aim, and then its upto YOU to decide how much response (or top end) you want from that particular turbo as they all have differing characteristics.

Its a pretty easy question, just read the Dyno/FI Guide stickies.

I haven't had any expereince with Wolf but ive been told they're not the best. I belive without a doubt Motec is by far the best and has great logging capabilites. I wish i had got one but atm i couldnt justify the money so i got a Haltech e11v2. I'm very happy with it still.

motec is obviuosly the best but way too expensive for my liking.

who did u hear that wolf are not the best, one of my friends worked at rank rotary in melbourne before it got sold off and they specialised in them, i found them to be an awesome ecu and would recomend them to anyone.

haha seriously, u need to do some more reading. on both turbo setups and drift, you do not need big power to drift, your placing way too much emphasis on power to drift, ur just feeding that stereotype or R33 drifters. if you want to drift, u need to focus on ur suspension, steering and diff before u worry about massive power. then u practice and u get better, 200rwkw is more than enough power to learn to drift.

LOL.. i knew when i was reading this thread and Wolf got mentioned, Rank Rotary wouldnt be far behind.. :starwars: I also, from peoples experiences, would steer clear of Wolf.. and the no AFM setup doesnt help when you get EPA'd and the only check they do for ECU is unplugging the AFM to see if your car stalls.. :D (they may have revised these procedures since i was last there, but they thought they were pretty tricky dicky with this test)

Limpus - I was wondering the same thing.. Why hasnt ash come in here waving the 'search u kent' stick yet..? :D

    • I don't know for sure, but I'd expect them all to be interchangeable given the diff end and hub end don't move/change between any C34 series. Often Nissan will change part numbers and the aftermarket follows those year ranges; but the original part number change doesn't mean other parts won't fit. The change could be a change in material, internal parts or even just supplier. For example, all the RB gearbox to engine bolts are no longer available and there is a new part number instead. The only change is they went from cadmium plated bolts to zinc plated due to the issues manufacturing with Cadmium. They look different but work the same.
    • One year is a bit concerning. Did you try contacting GSP? It says 5 year warranty on the box if I remember correctly. I'm also running their driveshafts on my S2 Stagea.   You could check the part numbers on Amayama for your year. Here's the link for my 1998 which gives the 39100-23U60 part number. Well, that and 39100-23U70. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6649-rb25det/trans/391 What does it say for yours?
    • I ordered a GSP Front R/H Axle from here - https://justjap.com/products/gsp-premium-front-driveshaft-r-h-nissan-r32-r33-r34-skyline-gtr-stagea-4wd#description It lasted around a year before one of the boots blew out. I'm lowered, but I have GKTech roll center adjusters. One year seems a little premature. I think I'm going to spend the extra money on an OEM cv axle this time. This website - https://tfaspeed.com/collections/nissan-stagea-wgnc34-x-four-parts/products/nissan-stagea-awc34-260rs-rb26-right-front-axle-drive-assembly Makes it sound like the readily available OEM CV axle will only fit 11.1999 Stagea and up (mine is a 2.1997 S1). The JustJap listing didn't mention any years or anything for the GSP axle. Amayama shows '11.1999' and up as well for that part number. As well as 'plastic boot type'. See attached picture. So I guess my question is, does that axle (39100-23U60) really only fit S2 Stagea? It's the front driver side. If it does, I'd love to buy that instead of rolling the dice on another GSP. I've found that OEM one cheaper here: https://www.partsfornissans.com/oem-parts/nismo-jdm-r32-r33-r34-skyline-gtr-r32-gts4-right-front-axle-3910023u60 and here https://www.nissanparts.cc/oem-parts/nismo-shaft-ft-drive-3910023u60 Just a little confused because the JapSpeed listing for the GSP front driver axle doesn't mention any specific years or anything and it fit my S1 Stagea fine. So will 39100-23U60 fit my S1 Stagea even though technically it says '11.1999' and up? What would have changed? Thanks.
    • Thanks for the info. The only "Issue" I've had with the shifter is I always found the throw between 4th and 6th gear too close. I'm always worried to shift into 4th accidently and sending my motor to the moon. Adam LZ recently came out with a video and stated Serialnine revised their shifters to correct this and will change all the revised parts for 150$. Strangely enough, I contacted Serialnine right after and they denied it and said it's bullshit. I found that strange as he's a distributer. I'll keep this forum post updated on that saga.
    • Yep that is correct. It allows you to adjust the short throw range from what I can tell
