I have bought a gt35r and a high mount manifold, Wanting to know what size exhaust to run.

ideally probs a 3.5

but your asking for a loud exhaust that the epa wont like very much.

wats ur power aim?

3" should be enough for around 300kw =]

A properly built exhaust wont pose a problem like that at all in 3.5"

Wish I had your muffler shop. I have 3 & 1/2 all the way with 2 custom mufflers and a resonator and its still too damn loud (98 dec.) I cant run at lakeside raceway because of it.

Ideally 3.5 inch turbo back.

Thats if youve got the space. I had to use a 3 inch dump, then go a 3.5 inch from the front pipe due to space restrictions in the engine bay between ABS and engine. Still made an easy 350rwkw (RB26) though.

Shaun.

im using a Gt35R on my GTR engine but ive done with a very small exhaust housing

its a ATP in house machined garrett exhaust housing

its basically a .78 divided exhaust housing taken from some other turbo machined to suit the GT35r core

im also using a custom twin scroll aka split pulse manifold to suit the exhaust housing

it also has a ATP anti surge compressor housing as well

engine is just waiting to be bolted back into the car B4 its tuned

ill post up the results once its finished

dump pipe is a 3inch

didnt want to go to big because its my daily

I run a GT35R ext gate and 0.63 rear .... 3.5" turbo back custom dump... metalcat, rest is a "Lavidia" (I think or something similar) exhaust that was already on the car from the cat back... proper mufflers etc... its only loud over 4K.... passes noise test...

Dump was made by my old tuner... only had to bend the aircon lines a little to make it all work ......

currently 306rwkw at 16psi.... full tune in a week or so, but I'm not expecting any flow issues... at 24-25psi

    • Actually, if having and keeping the stock ECU is the plan, the correct answer is to put Nistune into the ECU and improve the situation, not just look at it.

    • Yeah so physically that port is consult not OBD2, but also be aware that "JODB" is not really a thing - it came in around 2000(ish) but is not a standard like ODB is, each manufacturer had differences. If you are looking at ECU only and have a standard ECU, go with Datascan as Turbo Tapin said. Per another recent discussion here thought that won't do other systems like in a modern car, for example bleeding ABS
    • They're not rebuilt Racepace items. They were mint. From memory the were ex display stock that I bought off yahoo and he ran....from memory he barely used the REs when he replaced them with a set of Tein RS If have been stored correctly and not leaked fluid then they will be mint   As an observation the Racebuilt rebuilt Tein RA/RE/RS were a better street/club/track package. Really nice on the street and did good numbers at the track.  I think the factory Teins wont match the Racepace valving on the street but would be in the same window of performance on the track... albeit firmer
