Old mate Duncan even with suspension problems turned it on from where i was standing ( read: not driving). saw u crossed up out of a corner on the back half of the track. very impressive.

That other silver GTS-T that was there would have had a go but aparently it was BROKEN???

well done to all those who partisipated, loved the red RX7 and the red 200 with it's taily antics!!

yeah, turned out I had a two delaminated back tyres, it really kinda reduces the grip back there :D still got fastest gtst, but only 16th fastest overall

there was some good drifting on too, but the sad thing is there was 4 times as many cars in the carpark as there was on the track :D

Dude... Most track days you go to do not include the extras we supply. Normally you pay your money and go. We have professional race driving instructors, race calling, electronic timing equipment, lunch, trophies etc etc.

We actually lost a fair amount of money on this day and very rarely is money ever made at any of our track days.

Our track days are run to give you the best and safest possible environment to run in. Not just pay your money and get out there.

By the way, there was more than enough time for the drivers to run their cars. Knowbody wants to race their flat out every hour of the day. Pity there was more cars in the carpark than out on the track.

I do!!!... seriously i do, i should be a R & D driver for Nissan:D Every session im allowed out in i typically go out in... occasionally i have to call on ppl to lend me their cars:(

A friend was a little confused about the timing of sessions, or the fact that there were only two timed sessions... i imagine there was a logistics reason why all sessions werent timed?

By the time the 2nd timed session came around his tyres were already cooked and werent getting better as the afternoon warmed up.

Its a shame to hear UAS may have lost money on the day as these days are few and far between.

Ha Ha. Thats the go! You should have tied John up and grabbed a fang in his gravyboat zed.

The timed sessions can be a bit of a dilema only cos, to keep things safe, we must run cars in seperate catergories, and allow non timed events for passengers (not allowed to be timed).

John's never really out to make money on these days, as it's more of a fun day for him to take out his toy (but I'm sure his wife gives him a bit of ass spanking when they loose money. Maybe that's a good thing ?? :D )

    • I hadn't thought about the variable power steering assist. Presumably, it will always be the same level of assist as you get in an S14. The R32/3/4 are either helliishly heavy (at low speeds) if the solenoid is not powered at all, or hellishly too light (at high speed) if it is powered all the time. I presume that it is PWM controlled on those cars. I hadn't thought about the S cars not having variable assist. ugh. What crappy plebby cars they must be!
    • Hmm yeah that is a good point. It looks like it'll just bolt in with no real issue besides maybe the bushings being different. My other concern was that 2 pin plug that I assume is used in some way to control the rack solenoid depending on the speed signal from the ecu. The DMAX rack doesn't even have that plug though so, don't think it'll matter. Might just order the rack and see how it goes. Will update this when I figure something out
    • I'd say it's a fair bet that the feed and return fluid lines will be in different enough spots that you would need to come up with a way to cut the originals short and adapt with new hard line adaption or braided teflon hoses or somesuch. But really, you have the car, you have the photos of the DMAX rack - you should be able to go out there and see for yourself whether they're in the same or different spots.
    • I've been doing some looking around and honestly was just considering throwing a new rack at it. I saw that the dmax silvia rack bolts up into the 33 with the silvia bushings but not sure if the high pressure lines will sit in the correct spot. I believe other version of the 33 rack are the same/similar to the racks that can be opened up without as much fuss so I assume the dmax rack would fit but any ideas?
    • I've never played with one, but I would expect that you are correct. That slot looks like it is intended to be used to unscrew the end, and the flats on the body would be better than grabbing it around the round bit with a pipe wrench. So, yeah, probably unscrews. You'll probably have to make a tool to drive in that slot.
