Comments / Modifications:

This car is extremely well looked after, ive owned it for over 4 years, ive spent alot of money into keeping it reliable, driven sensibly, no crash history, want to get rid of it due to rarely driving it anymore. May be interested in trades, depending on what. Last dynoed at boostworx dyno day at 252kw @ 17psi. very quick car!

things ive done to it are:

ENGINE

- full engine rebuild with CP forged pistons + rings, full balance & all genuine nissan bearings + gaskets. built by boostworx

- recently built T3/T4 hi-flow turbo with VG30 exhaust housing.

- apex'i power fc and comander, tuned by boostworx

- bosch 040 fuel pump

- turbosmart boost controller

- front mounted intercooler

- greddy catch tank

- Z32 air flow meter

- nismo fuel pressure regulator

- stainless steel intake pipe

- K&N pod filter

- 3.5" exhaust done by Exhaust Tech with hiflow cat & Jun cannon

SUSPENSION

- front strut brace

-rear strut brace

- bilstein shocks (height adjustable)

- whiteline springs

- adjustable front and rear whiteline swaybars

- endless hicas lock bar

- alloy collars on subframe (tends to make some noise)

- cusco brake stopper

- endless ssy brake pads front and rear

INTERIOR

- blitz electronic oil gauges

- autometer boost gauge

- momo steering wheel

- HKB hub

- nismo gear knob

- genuine skyline floor mats

- silver dash surround

- tinted windows

EXTERIOR

- S2 rear wing

- Jun rear bar ext

- work equip 17" wheels

- nismo indicators

recently had some interest in this, so i thought i should post an update as ive changed a few things since placing this ad

recently installed a brand new single plate brass button clutch, easy to use and handles the power nicely, cost $1000

installed 2 recaro recliners + rails to suit r33, cost 1000+

removed xenon kit and went back to standard hallogens

removed momo wheel and nismo knob - went with brand new retrimmed leather wheel and brand new 33 GT-R leather shift knob combined cost me 400

no more autogage boost meter, i bought an electronic blitz gauge now mounted behind steering wheel (legally) spent 200

it also doesnt have the orange front bar indicators anymore, i changed to clear type, but now i plan on deleting them off the bar and putting indicators on the headlight sides like the r32

Heya Sam, Sad to see her going mate, this car has some history behind it with Exhaust Technology also!!

Have got mine back from my mate to try and sell for him, very similar mods to yours now and similar power also.......SO in saying that, if anyone wants a BLACK 33, buy this, If anyone wants a WINE RED 33, Buy mine.........ahahahaha

Good luck there Sammy!!

hey Darren, yep unfortionately its time to sell up, and put the money towards a house.

yeah i forgot to mention marky from exhaust technology originally imported this car in 2000 when R33s were scarce on the streets of adelaide

your old car is a beast! in a rare colour too! good luck with your sale mate!

    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
