Guyz guyz plz...

STFU OR GTFO!!

lolz..

Kiss and make up...

I don't think the goal was for any of us (aside from me) to get pissed and then work on the car... My impression was for everyone (bar me, who is by this stage, pissed), to work on the car, and then BBQ and drinkies time afterwards, which consisted only of a couple of drinks (which for me, consists of a couple of dozen..).. Anyway, yeah...

So anyways, whats goin on with this service thang? Maybe you guys should post dates so we can organize something ya know?

if that's the garage in your house man you have one massive garage lol

i vote for the 7th or 14th of June (provided they are both Saturday's?)

if i can't make one then i can make the other

what does everyone else think?

lol, hell no, i wish i had a garage that big, i can barely fit the astra in mine haha

I vote 14th o June as ima need that time to get some cash up, as i quit my job today...

but yeah, should be good to go by then i reckon, anyone got a place we can use, or am i still going to have to try and get a workshop?

who has no/lenient parents...

who has a BBQ

who has an esky

who can fit at least 10 cars from within their private property space

and who is patient...?

answer = party and service at their house...

food and beverages provided by those getting their car serviced = win win for everyone

okay, i need to replace my fan belt too... where do we get all this sh*t from?

i may... thats MAY be able to get all the 100k service parts from a friend at toyota... she can get them from nissan for $360... dont quote me on that though, ill let you know tomorrow if its true... someone has to have a big enough driveway or garage to do it in?

Didnt someone offer a garage in that thread you had about ya yellow Andrew??

I have a 2 car garage, plus room for another 2 cars on a VERY steep driveway, as well as room for 1 car on the lawn, plus about 4-5 on the verge. Its very spread out, but it can work. Oh yeh, and one down the back of the garage. You can access the bonnet if you reverse it in, but hard to get in or out unless you park it right to 1 side. We have a BBQ, few eskies, and my parents wont mind you guys coming over. Altho, if your car is lowered or has a kit, dont bother getting into the garage! Stay on the street.

But yeah, if that'll do, then your welcome to use mine

LOL 10 cars!!!

I dont think anyone got a big enough place for 10 cars... besdies im pretty sure theres no way u will get 10 cars done in a day....

Things will always go wrong when you working on cars, and take more time to fix...

Then plus the beer and food ..... Maybe 2 or 3 cars will get the full 100k service in a day... Theres a bit more too it then just changing timing belt... eg water pumps, all fluids as starters...

i personally got my timing belt done proffesionally by xspeed... Its not exactly something you want to stuff up on.

Although the rest i did my self.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
