Hey Guys

Looking for a number plate relocation kit for my ER34 GTT. It has the Nismo front aero bumper and I am looking to move the palte from the middle to be offset either left or right to make way for my intercooler. Anyone on here have such a kit with pictures? And if so where can I buy.

Much thanks!

Owen

mate easiest way is just to buy some L brackets from a hardware store and screw onto your bumper. not sure on your exact bumper but im sure there is somewhere to mount.

i agree, it is easy to do it yourself, however if you want to spend money there are kits around

here is one listed on ebay australia click below

^^Thats a neat idea, but sounds abit too much just to gain that little extra air flow LOL!

Has it got a little rotating mechanisim or something?

I was thinking more along the lines of over 100km/h = speeding, therefore with no plate = no way the camera can get you.

kill 2 birds with one stone I guess,

I've seen one's that work on a hinge and they pop up

Works similar to a wastegate a spin has a preload which is obviously tested in a wind tunnel or somthing and when you have enough on comming force to push the spring it fold back to allow air to flow into the radiator and fmic..

in google type in R34 blogspot and a blokes website should come up, it is on there. (will require some searching on his page)

$60 for a bracket? I hope it installs itself. :)

It is a neat bracket though.

hmmm..... Copper sitting besides the highway looking out for hoons in imports spots a skyline doing 110km/hr. Thinks 'good boy!' Wait a minute, no number plate showing on the front? So he pulls you over, sees you have a device that tampers with your numplate and defects your car! Woot, all for another 1% airflow!

I believe they can hand out worse fines and things for not having visible plates as well.

i just used the original clips from the standard number plate mount and used a dremel to cut out 2 new squareish holes to the side like the original holes, then used the original screws and washers to secure it.

cost me a whole $0 and 20minutes of my time.

except most will have dropped outta school in yr 9.. they chase you.. pull you over.. get you out of the car to show/abuse about your number plate not being visible.. and *scratching head* says.. oh.. wtf.. and you say what's wrong with the plate? lol

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
