G'day,

We've got a used HKS SSQ BOV, once installed it won't open under load!

I tried using my finger, pushing it in from the front on the bov and it actually move backward (with a bit of pressure). Why wouldn't it open on my car? My engine is a 1.3lt turbo but that shouldn't matter shouldn't it? By the way i've hooked it up the CORRECT WAY.

Is HKS BOV spring tension inter-changeable? Is it ceased? If i spray some TLC in it would it work? Can i perform an operation on it by open it up?

its probably just for show and not real :D

I was always under the impression HKS SSQV needs higher pressure than stock boost on skylines for it to open fully, otherwise could most of the time give flutter.

How much boost are you running?
