Not the infamous R34 coil packs? They die if you look at them sideways, splitfires!!!

yep i agree it happened to me. your engine light comes on for no reason and it can run rough or other times the light is just on and still idles smoothly. i bought splitfires and put them in and everything is ace. :) . except for a truck cracking my windscreen and a car reversing into me in the parking lot when i wasnt there resulting in me having to pay for it all. :P . but i still love my car and yours looks great congrats.

ps. keep the bonnet its awsome.

good work,

my spark plugs were some crappy ones from america

nothing beats jdm iridium ones !

vikz, i just got excited im near the cabramatta region LOL!!!!!!

come down to our next KK at liverpool cruissssssse !

ttys buddddddy!

Hey everyone,

Ive been hunting around for about 3 weeks tossing and turning between a non-turbo R33, R34, Supra or an Autech s15 (if i magically win 5 grand)

I was looking at the one that MR XTC recently bought, the bastard hasnt brought the add down so i just discovered he got it.

I'm trying to set myself a limit of $16 000 unless a mint autech comes along for cheap then ill go so far in debt ill have to feed myself through the ass.

Anyways here is the R34 thats at the top of my list

Lines look clean, fair amount of Km's. Being a friggin Red P plater in the grand old State of NSW killed my chances of buyin a 33 GTST from a mate at work.

My plans for the car cosmetically are minor, wing and side skirts. Engine wise i will mainly just go a cat back exhaust system, and anything i can hide from the cops.

I have plenty of time (gotta a few months of payin off another loan before car) so any and all feedback on what to look out for on a good/bad skyline would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Dave

Did we not just have a thread on this?

Did we not reach a decision in the last thread?

Are the 2 34's not the same?

Quick rundown.

34 is better than 33.

NA Supra is too Heavy to be a solid NA (In my opinion)

Autech S15 is fat too expensive and the last thing you want to do at a young age is bury urself in debit

Buy an NA S13, 1.8L MX5, Type R instead.

    • A bit late but A disk S13P fit over stock R32 GTR brakes, usually A disk front, O disk rear works.
    • Or, the height of the release bearing is not correct for your combo. Start with the bleeding and checking the slave moves throughout its range when you press the pedal (2 person required), but it is possible for the height to be internally wrong too (box back off to measure.
    • Yes, there's quite a few things that can go wrong during a clutch install. Very unlikely. I have a similar clutch. They (ACS) make good gear. No, it is not normal. It is possible that you just need to bleed the clutch slave. But the new clutch will also have a more aggressive actuation force/pressure, and so your old slave cylinder might be a bit leaky or otherwise compromised, and not up to the extra force required. Or the master cylinder, same.
    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
