Missfire Above 9psi

hey everyone

yesterday i degreased my engine cos it was filty from puting a oil cooler in.

anyway it now as a missfire whenever the boost builds above 8 or 10 psi.

i think it must be wen i was rinsing it off some water got onto the coils/injectors/something electrical

i removed te afm's before i started

has anyone got any input? my guess is coils, but i'd like a second opinion cos i don't have the budget to replace anything thats not wrong

BTW the mods that might effect this is a APFC, 550cc inj, and boost

Round the $500 mark, check the sau traders, they often have good specials.

There must be a way to be bring them back instead of throwing away $500

take the coil packs out. get a hair dryer and make sure they are dry.

Check the spark plug holes, is there any water in there? if there is stick rags down there and push them in with a screw driver untill most of the water is out. Then use a vaccume cleaner to suck the rest of the water out.

Pull all the spark plugs out and clean them and dry them or replace them.

if its still failing then try a mates set of coil packs to make sure yours aint stuffed.

I have wet my coil packs many times and after doing the above they worked ok.

all fixed now

spark plugs were wet

did a comp test while i was there and got 155,150,169,167,160,155

does that seem unusual to anyone else

Yeah looks a bit off. I believe any more than 10psi difference between them is not a good sign??

thats what i thought, but saying that it is a super cheap comp tester
