Hello i would like to know the HP diference between a 63 and 82 ar gt35r, with stock cams, i was told by a couple of well known engine builders, that the diference on a stock camed engine particularly wit the gt35r that the diference up top would be around 15 whp. has any 1 had any direct experiance with something like this, 1 of my engine builder buddies dyno'd 540 rwhp on a clients rb25, greddy intake manifold q45 throttle body, with a ported head, at 24 psi with a gt35 ar .63 ar housing and an AEM ecu

you shouldnt be worrying about power with exhaust housing to much. thats for the actual turbo size itsself mianly.

exhaust housings should be used to determine how agressive you want your car.

someone posted on here before saying he didnt hit full boost until 5000rpm using a 1.06. which is just a lil to late.

if your still running the 2.5 engine with no cams. stick with .63 or a .86

but to answer your question, i have no idea sorry.

Im running the .63 rear version, although I have poncams but the rest is the same (Q45 etc) ... havent had the final tune yet but 306rwkw on 16 psi atm (quick tune after engine was run in)... 25psi roughly being the end target... My tuner reckons the rear will max out around the 340ish mark.. Il know by the weekend

He was impressed at the response though, and said it wouldn't be worth the extra kw at the top end to sacrifice the response I currently have. Although I do have the .82 rear on standby... :P

400rwkw (540rwhp) from a .63 housing and 24psi seems just a little unbelieveable to me.

The .63 limits the GT35 to around 600hp, and it would be so severely choked.

hrm... The .82 (depending on comp wheel) is rated to 700hp i thought? And the 1.06 was the same, just for larger capacity motors so they arent too restricted.

If you have a .63, it'd be getting a turbo from the smaller family, GT3071, GT3076 etc.

.82 for the GT35 or 1.06.

Thats just my choice having had a 600hp GT30/.82, show was on approx 4200rpm (stock RB25 head) really linear but a 550hp/.63 probably better :)

hahaha thats the biggest load of crap i have heard all year 400rwkw from a .63 housing..lol in your dreams!

the max youll get 340-360 and thats running more than 24psi.. on 1.5bar i was getting 330-340rwkw and it was running a little rich...

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
