Hello i don't know if this is the right place to start this thread but here goes, i'm in the market to buy a big bulk order of parts and i

was surfing the net looking for whos doing the cheapest prices and i found that www.nengun.com has the best prices, but i have

been hearing really mad things about them such as they will take your money and you wont see anything you order for a long time,

has anyone from here ordered parts from them...? i just need a little feedback on how they are or if someone knows some where

better to order parts from that are reasonably priced.

i wouldnt touch nengun personally, they seem to be getting worse and worse, taking months to deliver goods, they will deliver just dont be in a hurry at all.

try greenline.jp or perfectrun.com.au same prices and great service, ive had gear here in 4 days from payment, if they dont list what u want then email them and they can usually get everything u need.

watch bringing big orders in at once or u will be taxed over 1k, i tend to split orders up incase they check the stuff at customs.

I haven't bought anything from them personally but i've only read mostly good things about them...there's a thread about their rep that i've read not long ago...

EDIT: Plus...the thread is like...4 years old haha...things change i guess...

nengun are SLOW but you will get your parts and at a good price!

greenline got my injectors and afm in 7 days... but are a pain in the ass to use due to the emailing back and forth shite

i use j-imports for pretty much everything these days (hence my sig) great prices and service... thuy will get anything you need and do all the f**king around for you...

How long has Nengun been 'slow' for? Is it a processing issue (ie not enuff staff to handle amount of orders) or is it a stock issue? Last time I ordered from Nengun (about 2yrs ago) it took 3 days to arrive.

If your gonna order loads of parts, work out what you want, check various prices around, then email one place and try and get a good deal for buying all from them.

A couple of points to remember...

1. You should get a better price if your buying quite a bit of kit together.

2. Freight costs should be cheaper overall for sending all together (as apposed to separately).

3. Expect customs to add 10% or so to what ever you pay (for international anyway, greenline, nengun, rhd japan etc)

are j-imports prices as good as greenline and nengun?

i get better prices from j-imports than nengun... but i have spent 5 figures plus with him :)

even for my first order he was matching nengun tho...

I'm not happy with nengun at the mo, :) its the first time i bought something from them and its gonna take forever to get to me. I placed my order on the 02 Jun 08 and according to them it won't be getting mailed till the 28 Jun 08 ;) emailed asking wtf and they said they will "try" to speed up the order

I have bought twice from Nengun, both times my goods arrived in around 3 - 4 weeks, but they always arrived as described and at a great price. It is true they take a long while to ship, so if your in a hurry to get your gear don't buy from them, but if your like me and im sure many others, and your slowly building up everything you need to do what you want then the shipping time isn't critical and the only thing that matters is the price. I've ordered two lots of stuff at around $5000AUD each, never been taxed by customs or anything yet *touch wood*

Nengun have been slow for as long as I can remember.

It is a combination of processing and stock availability. On the one hand it can take them up to 2 weeks to even begin to process your order(that's the worst case I have experienced) and on the other hand Japanese brands often take a long time to deliver products. Most of these import parts businesses do not keep a massive stock on site, due to limited space availability and high rentals in Japan, so they are left at the mercy of the suppliers.

That is what I have found in my experience.

Cheers.

ive purchased a few ordered from nengun, and i thought they were fast

first order took 7 days from japan, which i thought was fine

What's your secret!? :)

If Nengun were always that fast I might never have found J-Imports.

That would a fast delivery in Nengun speak :) Good luck with them speeding it up.

Same here...

Thuy has always done his best to beat the competitors and at the same time, he pays all the import taxes so there is zero danger of getting caught by customs and being stung for tax.

Perfectrun has my vote. Bought all my products from them. Great prices, delivery times, and service.

+ he has a workshop so it is very easy to get into contact with them.

The prices they quote also include import taxes, like above you won't get hit with the hidden costs.

ohh i didnt know he did new parts as well LOL i was getting used parts from thuy on yahoo auctions though and his service has been great.

i was just about to buy about 10 items from nengun - so i sent thuy a pm first to see if he can do a better price

    • Been down in Tassie for 2 weeks (a cruise, not a race for once) but spent a little time on her when I got back. I worked out the injector settings in the PowerFC were not correct for nismo 555s, set those to 66% +10ms and added a little air at closed throttle, set the timing (approximately, because it has some weird non 15o cells around idle) and now she starts and idles properly. • Went to a drift practice day at a local circuit (held on the reserve parking area behind the grandstand) for the first time in about 15 years. Some kei cars were drifting as well, a not so surprising Suzuki Carry truck, and two 1st gen Daihatsu Copens that were converted to rear wheel drive(!) using Daihatsu Boon X4 transfer case, prop shaft and rear diff, obviously omitting the front driveshafts. They looked really fun to slide. I heard that they cost "about half" as much as a Nissan Silvia etc to run.  On the track 'Tech M' a local BMW tuning garage had a customer track day. Mainly recent models but there was one E36 which looked ancient among all the current models. It was cool watching the drifting and then turning around and seeing random people thrashing their M3/4s  central-circuit-drift-practice-2025-05-18-long-yt.mp4
