have heard about this abit lately, you done many full cars??

looks likeit would only cost about 500$ including the gun to do a whole car which is unbeatable value.plus you could do it easily in a weekend

Then if you dont like it peel it off and do it again...

how good do the colours come up, seems everybody just does matt black

i have 1080 3M gloss black on mine, my boot isa factory black and no one guesses that the rest is vinyl until i tell them. trust me its good... i wouldn't be willing to drop another grand on it if it wasn't.

just for the record to wrap bonnet roof a b & c pillars and a bout a ten cm strip down the side at the back along the body conture was ~600 if i remember correctly, been on since last september and looks brand new.

Nikk_666 is doing vinyl wrap not plasti dip...

I havnt done plasti dip myself, but it does look the shit...

I lot easier to remove than vinyl too.

check out some of the you tube video with this guy Elvis installing and testing it, its pretty cool stuff.

If only I knew where to get the spray gun and materials easily...

at present its black and gunmetal grey so not overly obvious you can see in my dp if u look at the rear 3/4 panel, roof and bonnet

so what you have a 2 tone car?? post pics man

have realized plastidip also comes in GLOW IN THE DARK...paint my car with that shit yeah...

did you try ebay man :)

http://www.ebay.com....-All-Categories

spray guns, there is a whole range on ebay as well

http://www.ebay.com....pray+gun&_rdc=1

or you can just buy them at bunnings...

Unfortunately its not as cheap as in the US...but still its very cost effective way to change colour of your car..

not only that it is a great protectant for your cars paint..

elvis, fonzi I knew it was kind of 'slick' name...

I love to do my roof in matt black plasti dip...

Im starting to really hate the Import tax from USA to Australia,,,

cars are so cheap over there brand new, like almost half price in some cases...

That looks amazing mate, was tryin to guess what part was vinyl until I read down and saw that both were!

Was that a home job? Or if not how much did it set you back?

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
    • Good luck on the weekend mate
    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
